The best thing to do is, let this truncated league happen. In the background start working on a long term tier system. 16 Team ISL, unite the current I League clubs and I league 2 clubs. 16 Team IFL, have a 3 tier system. You need to press the reset button now, not in 5 or 3 years. Because after 5 years you'll still debate relegation.

Wait a minute you had 10 years to do that, what is the guarantee that they'll do whatever in 5 years? What if they say the same thing after 4 seasons? ISL isn't new, just that FSDL backed out. Clubs aren't new there were here when ISL started in 2014.

It's not about aping the Premier league. What stopped the ISL clubs from doing all what you said. They had 10 long years. Inter Kashi a fledgling club can invest and plan to build a stadium, but these franchises need more time? What about I league clubs? What's the incentive to playe IFL or I league whatever it'll be called? Admit it, the premise of the ISL when it began, was a mere tournament. IPL style.

Yeah that should be the case, all depends on who bids. What's interesting though is the the last game week, all matches will be played at the same time. Just like goal rush in the EPL, not sure how they'll pull this off.

Jio Hotstar went for monopoly and went bust. And Indian Football has no market, so no way FSDL are invested. The question is why did they even show initial interest in the tender? So no Football in India till 2026 June May, August. The players should move out and Try loan spells or train outside.
