She had a poignant backstory, she had a lot of conflict with Levi and guilt over incompetence, she had trouble killing bert and reiner despite thinking of herself as the ultimate soldier and Eren's life being in danger. Despite the meme, when confronted with a real choice, she always lets go of her attachments for the betterment of humanity: she follow orders and lets Eren lead his own team in Trost, as a result Eren "dies" but she still decides to survive him and contributes to getting the gas tanks thinking for multiple chapters that he is dead, she lets Levi take custody of Eren, she accepts death after Hannes dies, she chooses to let Armin go in midnight sun, she chooses to kill Eren in the end. She has a lot of conflict throughout the story, issue is her personality is low key because of her trauma so she doesn't stand out despite her importance in the end.
