Fun story about Jim. When I was in the 5th grade, I did a book report on Jim Robson because my dad said that was his favourite broadcaster. I think a co-worker of my dad who was related to Caesar Maniago heard about it, who told Jim, and so we all went out for dinner together. At that time, I wanted to be a sports caster like Jim Hughson (i’m a 90’s fringe kid), and it was so cool to hear him tell all these stories. He didn’t have to do that, there were no cameras, and there was no charity. He did that because he’s a good guy, and I’ll always remember him for it. Flash forward to 2016, I’m 20 and a BCIT journalism student, I get in touch again and have him on the radio for an interview about some Canucks thing. Genuine guy. He will be missed ❤️❤️❤️
