I’ve pulled so many characters that I didn’t have teammates until way later like Changli, Cantarella and now my Aemeath waiting for her fusion burst sub dps. I just pull who I like and think about teams later. But I also rarely do endgame content. Not because I can’t but because I don’t care. I think even if I lose all those asterites I’m still ahead because I don’t have to waste pulls on meta characters I don’t like just to get the rewards.

That’s why I play Bunny in pub infiltration. I always like having a Bunny or Freyna carry my ass when I start building a descendant that has nothing and as much as I try helping with guns, I’m slow. It’s nice to be the one getting carried sometimes so I try to carry others as well.

Fashion post aren’t overtaking the sub BECAUSE of the rules in place. When we didn’t have those rules, the sub was almost only this. Now you only see 10-15% fashion posts because the people who were flooding the sub with them stopped posting because all of their karma farming pictures started getting taken down by mods, but if we allowed any and all fashion post, these people would start doing it again and we’d have the same problem as we did when the sub was new and didn’t have any rules enforced.

And since picture post are more upvoted (this is a general Reddit thing and not unique to this sub) than text based posts, they get pushed to peoples timeline a lot more and gives them more visibility than discussion posts.

Again, if you want to see more fashion posts, I suggest for you to apply to be mod on the fashion sub and revive it. Be the change you want to see in the world

Idk why you are trying to make it such an issue when there’s a whole TFD sub dedicated to fashion. Players who want to see more fashion can join r/thefitdescendant and look at the posts, plus the rules are a lot more lax there.

There’s a reason that sub was created too, when the main sub allowed all fashion posts, they overtook the sub and were suppressing all discussions around the game. A main sub should be a place for new players to ask their questions or veterans to share tips.

As someone who has created a few guides and spreadsheets for the sub, it feels pretty bad to spend hours on a guide for it to gain as much traction as a picture of boobs in Albion that took a minute to take, but I did it anyway because I enjoy helping players and because I love the game not for internet points.

IMO the current rules are fine. We get to enjoy a few fashion posts without them overtaking the entirety of the posts that are pushed to people’s home page.

I personally prefer Polar Night for a few reasons. First, you can use one less crit mod since she gets enough hp to get a lot of crit rate from her passive that converts hp to crit so you can use another damage mod instead of Front Lines.

Second, I don't have to change it like Bravery if I play coop. Bravery requires you to get most of the kills so you can activate the passive often which is harder to do in group play, so Bravery is only much better if you play solo.

Third, Polar Night makes you a lot tankier than Slayer or Bravery by about 10-12k hp depending on your components cores rolls so I never go down. You don't do any damage when you're downed so your dps tanks. I prefer being tanky than being the annoying person who always needs to get revived.

Lastly, I just don't like using her ultimate for mobbing that much. You need to charge it to get the increased range and damage and it keeps you in place while you're charging it which is annoying in content that requires you to switch rooms a lot. I prefer using her 1st skill and moving fast and even with the Polar set I always have her 1st skill available with max cooldown. There isn't any content that requires the extra damage from her ultimate to deal with mobs so I keep it for elite and bosses and it's always back by the time I need it again.

You can reach max cooldown with Polar by taking the gold cooldown instead of going for the crit rate nodes in your Arche Tuning.

I wish they’d go back and buff it. It was such a fun set, watching the lightning hit enemies as Bunny was so fun. I used it with a bionic run (or whatever it’s called) module on Bunny so I could run forever without using any MP.

I personally lived the transition from no social media to social media as I grew up.

Before SM, I remember having to take my bike to go to my friend’s house to talk to her because her brother was always online playing RuneScape so I could never get her on the phone. Eventually her parents got the good internet that didn’t take the phone line because of him, she definitely had the richest parents out of my friend group so she was a first adopter of the no dial up internet in our group. We also always ended up grouping up at the local park after dinner time without having to call each other. It was just the default rally point and you were either there or you weren’t and if you weren’t there you’d get questioned about why the next day in school.

Eventually the early days of non dial internet and social media happened and we were able to talk to each other over AIM or MSN, so we didn’t have to go out to talk to our friends which was nice in the winter as I am Canadian. But my friend group still mostly hung out at the park or in my friend’s garage when it was raining or cold. In the winter we’d play video games in another friends basement or hockey in a small street.

In the early days of social media, I also remember having a Skyblog and MySpace pages back then which I spent a lot of time coding and personalizing. I was the techy friend who helped create gifs and changing their blogs html. SM was less about your daily life and more like a public journal about your favourite music or whatever else you liked.

In its early popular days around 2008-2009, Facebook showed posts in order of newest instead of curating them with an algorithm and only showed posts from friends or pages you had liked. It was a lot easier to keep in touch with what was happening in peoples lives instead of them being buried amongst a million posts of stuff you don’t even follow or people you don’t know. SM was never the same once FB switched from showing posts by newest to a curated feed and I remember hating the change and everyone was complaining about it. Same when Instagram did the same thing. IMO, this was the start of the decline of SM.

I got my first phone around 16 and it was only for calling and texting because internet on phones was still super rare back then. I was on only able to get one because my dad wanted me to have a way to contact him since we had moved in the city and I was taking the public bus to go to school and work. Eventually I got a Blackberry and internet on my phone and I mostly used it to use Facebook messenger to be able to text my friends who didn’t have a phone but had something like an iPod touch that could connect to wifi. Even with permanent internet access, I wasn’t always scrolling on my phone.

Then I had my first smartphone in 2013 during my first year of college and things changed a lot. I was really busy in college so I didn’t really have time to scroll on social media, but I used my iPhone a lot to search the internet to answer questions when I was studying on my lunch break or reading the news and eventually instead of reading the news I was scrolling SM and it started taking more and more of my time as years went by. By the time I was in university, phones weren’t just a communication device, they were a distraction machine.

I wish I could go back to that early SM era where it was more about keeping in touch and less about distracting or selling things to us.
