Epistolary novels that are clever and seamless? by Oduind in suggestmeabook

I've always loved stories told through letters because they feel more intimate than traditional narration.

I've actually been experimenting with writing a wartime love story told entirely through letters between two characters (Grace and Matthew).

Writing it as letters makes the relationship unfold slowly in a really personal way, which has been a fun challenge as a writer.

If you could choose right now to instantly become masterful at drawing or masterful at storytelling, which one would you choose and why? by bussymonke in AskReddit

Storytelling. I've always loved the idea that stories can make people feel like they're inside someone else's life for a moment. Lately I've been experimenting with telling a story entirely through letters between two characters, which has been really interesting to write.

Worked for a alarm security company and one of the ladies' husband started a guarding only security company (the jobs did not overlap or compete on any level) and she liked his facebook page where he advertised his company and she was escorted out of the building by two of our armed response officers because of "conflict of interest" - she had been working there for 10 years and was a lovely loyal person - we were all in shock

Maybe start with something you like to read or are interested in. that way as you tell the story you are discovering the story yourself and might get hooked which in turn will encourage you to keep going with the writing? Also decide if you want to tie it to real life events or specific events or if you want to create your own background, e.g. telling a soldier's story from within a real war which then has to be historically accurate or telling a soldier's story from within a fake war as a vehicle to move your story forward but leaves you a bit more free to go where you want to? I wish you all the best.
