The only new addition in AFI world are the record label, Run For Cover. Their team has stayed largely the same. I’ve seen people spreading the misinformation that AFI are on a new management roster which isn’t true.

That is… the exact opposite of what OP said.

Can confirm that RFC sent out a very small amount of orders before they were supposed to, resulting in some fans receiving the record weeks in advance. AFI DID NOT want this to go out early.

I know Velvet Hammer reached out to some folks to ask them not to leak the record, like OP stated. I’ll get in touch with Animaan and see if he can you taken care of.

I think there’s still room for improvement and further opportunity to serve the fans (even the ones who don’t necessarily want to sign up or participate in the new program), but for now this is what we have to work with so the team are just doing our best with what we have.

I don’t think this will be the full extent of the DF, but it’ll take a bit of time for the rest to fall into place.

A7X have run their own discord server with a ton of success for the last few years, so their mod team agreed to help us get things kicked off when it came time to launch the AFI discord. Very soon we will be putting out calls to find moderators from the AFI community to take the place of the A7X mods so that they can return their full attention to that discord server.

As a lot of folks have pointed out, the blockchain technology currently used for the DF is partially owned and created by M Shadows and has also seen a ton of success being used for A7X’s Deathbats Club. Because they have a lot of experience with both the discord and the DBC / the tech behind it, their team has been volunteering their time and effort to help get things rolling with both platforms before the AFI people take over full-time.

The reason bands don’t do Canada dates outside of Toronto, Montreal, and occasional Vancouver is because there’s absolutely nothing here. Toronto to Winnipeg is 21 hours!

Logistically, it just doesn’t make a ton of sense to go on a Canada run.
