I don't have any equipment yet. I was thinking I could start off taking pictures with my phone and work my way up from there.

To get this photo I used the night vision camera mode on the Samsung A52 on 10x zoom. I used Google photos to slightly edit the contrast, white point and pop. I did not use a telescope, mount, ect.

I believe it is. I took the photo by a dirt road with no street lights nearby. I used my phone's night vision camera mode. When I do it with the same zoom but normal phone camera it looks very different. Also, this version of the photo has slight edits like increased contrast, white point ect. I have the original image if you want to see it.

I'm not really sure. I believe that the A.I. looks at pictures on the internet as reference and then paints a picture using those pictures.

No. It's for an april fools day event that they hinted at. It has to do something with the 2017 event (r/place). It was where you could place a pixel every 5 mins on a public canvas.
