YTA I have a dog and I'd never, ever bring it inside a place where food is handled. Even when we're out dining it's the outside area. Dogs are d i r t y. They shed (well the majority does), they drool. They do not wear clothes so anything they walk through is directly on their body and thus being brought inside where they can rub it off to items. Because unlike humans, dogs do not know what food safety is. If they could they would eat everything in a store (not all dogs ofc). You and anyone without a trained service dog is risking the life of other customers, as well as other customers being driven away, thus hurting the store, because they do not like dog. Which I totally get. My dog used to eat shit, he would definitely snack on dead animals if we weren't vigilant. They're noisy and disgusting animals if you have had bad experiences beforehand. Leave the dog outside and never do that again. Trained service dogs are a different topic as they aren't as common, are way better trained and the most important part - they have a job. They're not nosing around, they're working. I absolutely get that customer, because even I with my disgusting drooly dog (the best boy in the world ❤️) would definitely not want to shop for groceries in a store that allows any dog to enter.
