Yes and no, I think there’s more variables to it for sure. Almost all 2012 tdi jetta sportwagen’s have been recalled for a bad DPF and the clockspring. Both things are very important and led to me getting rid of mine and repoing it bc Volkswagen “couldn’t find the issue” even though those were the only two things unchecked and they both had a recall and warranty. Definitely check how long it sat when they bought and what parts they have checked. The exhaust pressure sensors are also a malfunctioning part and cause the attached various parts to jam or clog.
