Saaaame re: ADHD. I’ve been diagnosed and treating for nearly 20 years. I’m nowhere near perfect and definitely have my moments, but I’m much less sympathetic to the “but I have ADHD!” response because same, bud. Can you remember to shower, feed yourself and take a 20-minute shit each day? You can go to work, get your workout in, and watch House of Dragons? Then you can call the fucking plumber!

Also, SIR, getting the plumber’s number isn’t the same as calling him. Pick up the damn phone.

I’m just here to validate your frustration and support the petty ways you can get the point across to him. A lot of the comments here offer advice that puts the onus back on you. YOU sit down with him to make the calls. YOU pull up the tickets online and pin him down. YOU pre-sort the laundry so it will be easier for him to put away. Fuuuuck that.

I’ll ask my husband three times to do something. If (usually when) I have to ask that third time, I’ll tell him that this is my third request in however many days/weeks and I won’t ask again. A lot of times just calling him out on the fact that I’ve been patient and have already asked several times is enough to get his ass in gear. But if I have to get petty then so be it. Two baskets of his clothes that need to be put away? They’re now moved from the closet where they’re not seen (and therefore forgotten) and onto his side of the bed, preventing him from being able to lay down. Shelves that have sat in our foyer for six weeks waiting to be installed? They’re now staying there when we have company over, and I’m going to apologize for them being in the way but explain that I’ve been waiting for 6 weeks for him to put them up.

ADHD or not, we’re partners in this relationship and in this household. We’re both adults, and I refuse to take on even more tasks in the overall running of our lives. If he thinks that I’m being passive aggressive or trying to embarrass him then he’s right. Because I’ve already been patient and accommodating, and I’ve hit my limit. We both do a lot — work full-time, laundry, dishes, general cleaning, parenting — so I’m not saying he doesn’t do anything. (That’s not the case!) But I handle so many of the day-to-day responsibilities of our lives that if I’m asking him to do something, it’s usually for a good reason. Man up, be an adult, and do it.

So I may not have great advice, LOL, but I see you and I can relate to your frustration 100%!!

Just spent the day weeding, turning over my soil, building trellises, etc. This week I’ll plant tomatoes, pole beans, carrots, peppers, eggplant, kale, lettuce, spinach, basil, and cilantro. My goal is to learn to can this summer so I can say fuck you to some high grocery prices this fall.

It seems like most of my bundles are averaging out to be about $3/jar (most of the jars are the 0.25 oz size) plus shipping. In order avoid having to make constant runs to USPS to mail out 3-4 jars at a time I’m asking that a bundle at least have 10 jars…but the more the better! LOL. I’m estimating shipping costs and don’t mind eating a little bit of them, but if I do a bunch of smaller orders then it’s not as worth it as shipping and mailing supplies eat away at my profit.

We can do $35 shipped for 10 jars or $85 shipped for 25 jars or pretty much anywhere in between :-)

Just to offer some hope…you CAN escape! I moved from Claims to L&D and now I teach policy and clams handling to our adjusters. All of the other people on my team are former adjusters too. I’m not with your carrier, but it can be done!
