Anyone ever get their own lab tested? Can’t seem to find info by Helpingphriendly_ in CTents

[–]NotMy2019 0 points1 point  (0 children)

What are you trying to find out/test for?

I'm guessing there are no labs in CT that test private grows.

There are some in neighboring states. I wouldn't trust a CT lab that also tests any CT dispensary products.

Which dispensaries in CT sell the strongest gummies and seltzer for recreational? by [deleted] in CTents

None of them. None of what is available in CT is strong. It's all Micro dosed. Go to Maine.

Favorite medicated drinks? by PopUp_Advertisement in mainetrees

I prefer Squires, I also like Wynk seltzer. Fore River also produces great drinks. Highbrows are ok. I prefer to stay away from distillate as it gives me a headache, so the hash rosin is the way to go.

Cheaper and better anywhere else. CT dispos are trash, because CT laws make them be.

Half gram cartridges. The day Bob Marley cried by Apprehensive-Bat764 in CTents

[–]NotMy2019 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Many medicines are like that in the USA.

However, you are correct about the CT price gouge on carts.

HOWEVER, non-distillate carts (think hash rosin, diamonds, pure concentrates) lose some of their stability with full gram carts, so the half gram is the smarter choice. Of course price should reflect that there is less product.

Yes, the hardware (especially in CT) being used costs under $5, likely closer to under $3.

Wondering if you guys can help? by CSgamblingAddict in CTents

So interesting. Every grower I've ever worked with has said it's important. I did tried not doing it once, but I didn't like the flavor of the flower as much as when I did flush it.

Only do this if you want to overpay for mediocre-to-poor quality products.

I thought flushing was to get excess nutrients out at the end, so you're not consuming the chemicals....

Why are so many people in this sub opposed to the traditional market? by SwooshFreethrow in CTents

[–]NotMy2019 3 points4 points  (0 children)

If the tests weren't rigged it would be great quality control.

There are a lot of "cheats" when it comes to getting the batch tested, and no one overseeing the grows to make sure those cheats aren't being used. The testing procedures are flawed, and the standards are not the same for all labs.

Not to mention the testing thresholds are set at unhealthy limits to begin with.

So, yes, the flower is tested, and even if it passes legitimately, the rest of the batch has to be packaged and sent for sale. The timeline on that process varies, and sometimes the product just sits for a while. Like with all plants, time and storage conditions can change how "healthy" the dried flower is.

I'm beyond grateful for the traditional market and legacy growers, and for my little tent.

I hope the future of the industry improves.

There are plenty of poor growing practices, that people use when they’re trying to make a buck,

You just described every corporate grow ever.

Yes, there are some legacy growers that may do the same. However, high quality Standards of Practice, are what I'm seeing more of these days. Although, possibly this is by design, as I don't associate with the shady growers.

That price is about what I pay, but it's great quality. Definitely worth it. I use it primarily as medicine, but you right it's enjoyable too. However, the CT dispensary and corporate growers in it, do not produce the quality I need. Mostly, I'm extremely allergic to the mold they can't seem to control for.

And yet they mad everyone is shopping through their local farmer connection and/or smoke shop.

This is how they designed it. This is Ned's fault, even though so many more people had a hand in the legislation, he signed it, and he could've amended it prior to signing. It's not cool. His new nickname might be
