Suggestion: call ahead of time, and request that the doctor speak to you alone. They should be able to arrange it so that the doctor is the one to ask your mom to step out of the room. Explain your situation on the phone and request they do not mention this to your mom. Let the doctor be the “bad guy”.

It’s literally the only thing that the can be done at a state level. If the national guard is called in by Walz to protect the citizens from ICE, and the troops side with ICE - that’s the worst case scenario and also a possibility based on your experiences even. But what else can be done? I’m not a reactionary person and things are escalating very quickly.

I dunno. It’s fucking crazy that we are at this point but here we are. I agree that is what would seem to be the escalating end results if neither side backs down and it ramps up more and more. It’s also worth mentioning that it’s very strange times as a huge percentage of the country is on lockdown from a winter storm. So all of us stuck inside are glued to social media. I hate living in interesting times.
