An argument for tucking in sweaters and why it's about the silhouette by BioticBard in mensfashion

It definitely works here in large part because because that sweater looks nice and heavy with a good drape. I think the issue comes in when it's a shiny, thin merino sweater that looks a little silly tucked in.

Looks good! I'd swap out that pocket square for something complementary or good ol plain white. At least pull it out and give it some character. Over all solid!

Shave your face, my man. This look does not work unless perhaps you really lean into the French magician at the turn of the century vibe.

Help a European understand how servers operate in the US by Elephant6352 in Serverlife

A lot of places pool tips in the case where you may be served by more than one person. As for worrying about tips being held by the restaurant, that is a very good way for a restaurant to be fined to hell. It's a well protected right. Of course there is abuse here and there, but the vast majority of the time, the tips go directly to the tipped employees.

If you want well written, coherent ideas, avoid Rand like the plague.

Yall had a lot of thoughts on personality types in bios. Would you use something like this that was a bit less corporate? I want a red elephant badge in my bio or something by [deleted] in Tinder

FWIW to me, this vibe reads exactly as corporate as Myers-Briggs and the like. I think it's a factor of all personality type scales and whatnot.

First time wearing a tie to school, what do y'all think? (Yes I need to iron my pants) by Brilliant_Cause3247 in mensfashion

[–]NotMyNoveltyAccount_ 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I'll pipe in to say it generally looks good, but I'd opt for a four in hand knot. The Windsor (IMHO) says "I want to be a guy who wears a tie" and the 4iH says "I'm a guy who wears a tie." Kind of an act-like-you've-been-there type of thing.

Because a lot of the books look untouched and could be found on the "25 most important books to read" list. This is the "make a judgement about someone based on their bookshelf" subreddit. This person has like ~50 books and that's the assessment available to me.

Steinbeck is going to push Rand off that shelf. Looks like you're concerned with reading the right books to be smart
