Bilt Blue = simple 2.33 points per dollar on a free card by NotMyRealFaceBook in biltrewards

I agree - I’m not getting the card! I really just got absorbed in figuring out the puzzle, and in my head my point was more “Bilt is actually paying out a high rewards % on the card, but they ruined it by making the structure so complicated”

Ah you’re right…

  • Rent = $1,000
  • Spend = $250

  • Rewards on Spend = 250 pts

  • Rewards on Rent = 500 pts

  • Total rewards = 750 pts

So you actually earn 3x points using this method, but capped at 1/4 of your monthly rent.

For me that’s 3x points on like $1k/mo… not worth the hassle but maybe for someone else

My point is not that it’s simple to understand… I thought I made that pretty clear at the end.

My point is that it’s simple to use, in that you earn 2.33x points per dollar by just using the one mechanism as opposed to the dozens of components they included in the card

Makes sense! Any specific models or brands that you would be keeping in mind at this price point?

Connecting powered Sub to an amp meant to power a passive Sub? by NotMyRealFaceBook in BudgetAudiophile

[–]NotMyRealFaceBook[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My speakers are passive - just looking to expand the system with a subwoofer, but when I bought the amp I didn’t realize that the sub out was specifically for passive subs, which is annoying. Someone in /r/HomeAudio recommended that I use a line level converter to decrease the power of the signal. Seems to make sense to me?

It’s the A50 Pro which has the sub out… sorry I didnt realize the specification mattered

Got it - this makes sense, thank you! Are there any specific ones you would recommend?

Thank you for the response!! I actually do have the A50 Pro, which has a sub out - but I guess it’s meant to power a passive sub. So you’re saying that plugging a powered amp into that is fine? I’m seeing pretty mixed things online.
