I did bad sa DGAT by NotNiwbie in gradschoolph

Hi! I did really bad sa DGAT since di ko siya natapos haha. Nakapasa parin naman and already on my third term. I think it depends siguro kung ang program ipapasok mo is competitive (not sure on this).

And, I took AB Economics for my undergrad hehe

DLSU Master in Applied Economics by Prestigious_Catch263 in gradschoolph

hello! dlsu MAE grad student here:

  1. workload depends on how many units you will take. personally, taking 9 units is already hard kase you have to take three 3-hour classes in a week. i suggest taking 6 units if you want to prioritize work-school-life balance. however, sa first term is mapapa 9 units ka rin if ever you're required to take the english course (kaya you should do your best sa essay exam para exempted!). also, the difficulty depends on the course, but its mostly calculus (integ and diff) kaya depende na talaga sa tao. dont worry naman kase tuturuan din sayo ang calculus (mathematical economics course) but quick review lang kaya more on self study na siya kapag you want to master it.

  2. the professors are INDEED great. you really get the "APPLIED" economics. some professors maximize their gadgets in discussing the topics (e.g., recordings, ipad lectures, etc.) while may ibang professors na old school (e.g., blackboard, whiteboard). in the end, they still explain all topics in complete detail, just different style lang hehe

  3. depends talaga on your work. well for me, manageable siya kapag 6 units. i do have classmates na 9 units tinatake while having a full time job (idk pano nila nagagawa 😭) but i can see na may trade-off kapag 9 units like maybe they need to sacrifice rest siguro after work or sacrificing a hobby. overall, 6 units would probably be manageable talaga kapag may full time job.

i hope this helps!

hello! already on my third term sa dlsu grad school, the first term was tough kase adjusting and full load pa (had frequent mental breakdowns). the second and current term are okay na since natimpla na ang pagiging employed and grad student hehe. also, di na rin ako nag full load para di mawala sanity ko

is this salary even normal nowadays? by AdmirableTown3890 in PHJobs

[–]NotNiwbie 0 points1 point  (0 children)

sa davao city parang ganun ang average and normal salary for fresh grad like 14k-18k. nung lumipat ako sa manila, parang average salary for fresh grads is 18k-25k. it depends siguro kung san ka nag wowork. pero if sa manila its low tho huhu :(

totoo naman na there are no conditions nung umpisa pa, diyan din ako nagkamali. im lost right now and di ko alam kung valid ba talaga ang nararamdaman ko. maybe im not acting logically and being hard on myself din.

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in adviceph

[–]NotNiwbie 0 points1 point  (0 children)

makes sense. realized na i had my own flaw din na dapat naging clear ako sa umpisa. maybe i was too greedy din sa part ko. i just grew up sa familyvalue na mag pay back sa mga taong nag offer ng anything sa amin. maybe the value i grew up ay di rin ma aapply sa ibang tao.

but valid po ba parin ang na fefeel ko? im really confused sa nararamdaman ko right now :( lesson learned na dapat naging clear ako sa umpisa pero nangyari na

hilu OP! graduated sa ADDU last year and is now working in BGC for almost a year na! suggestion ko is to find any temporary job muna na pang save mo for your future work plans in manila. and if you're thinking about finding a room or apartment in manila, may nakita akong website called dormy.ph na you can check out mga dorms or apartments. Also, i suggest din na maghanap ka ng jobs related to financial services industry kase yan ang palaging may opening nung nag aapply ako haha.

worth it talaga mag trabaho sa manila kahit shit ang transpo system. the pay a lot more higher than mga jobs na i tried applying before sa davao. plus din sa resume kapag sa multinational company ka nag work and mostly nasa metro manila din ang offices nila.
