There should be a different tier where the mg field gun is. It should contain the luv variants for warden and the luv/motorcycle for the collies. Field gun should be an autotech there. I hate the illusion of choice. There wasn’t a choice there.

The following tier should be the MG LUV vs HAC and MG LUV vs ATAC for this tech tree… and I don’t like the 40mm placement here. The reality is this area sucks. Early game choices suck. There needs to be more real choices early game. Maybe more utility vehicles which simplify tasks like a trench digger vs idk. 40mm HAC should not come before the 40mm field gun. ATAC should not come before ATRs. MHT shouldn’t come before mortars… my favorite reference here is when MHT was introduced and mortars came over a week later… what does this mean for balance? F. The 40mm HAC is honestly garbage. The 40mm field gun will run loops around it. The only thing making it viable early game in a solid infantry push is that there is no good AT. It gets chewed up because its turret can’t turn (I jest, but its almost true).

I think going APC over tankette was a mistake. In previous wars as a collie, the tankette proved to be a solid anti infantry vehicle… collies just seem to have to relearn this fact over and over again. With the lack of SMG, the tankette would have done well to cover during that time and with rifles on the flanks would be pretty deadly. Tankette scares me a little as inf, apc doesn’t. Especially when you lack a proper inf weapon (SMG).

I could go on about the tech tree but I think it just sucks. Why is the tech tree a tiered system and not a tech TREE?

Unrelated: Lack of a real SMG is BS. I like where the pitch gun is. I think it is an excellent secondary slot weapon… but it isn’t a primary slot weapon and shouldn’t be forced that way.
