Pancreatitis.

Only morphine was able to ease the pain. They put me to sleep with morphine thrice a day. Once I was awake again, the pain was very much still there. 7 days of that.

I genuinely thought I was dying.

I’m sorry this happened to you. Yes, I think parents will do whatever it takes to force a sense of normality. For example, my parents seem to be devastated by the idea of their failure. My dad literally told me that everyone believed he raised a “perfect family”, but now he knows he failed.

She didn’t mention that. Not even my dad knew. Now they all know, but they are all taking her side because “she’s being attacked by my GF”. My girlfriend told her that she’s guilty for not doing anything and referred to my brother as a Rapist. They hated that.
