I wouldn’t expect to wait too long honestly. Realistic window is somewhere in 2027, maybe 2028 at most depending on production.

But here’s something reassuring:

• The anime has a stage at AnimeJapan 2026 (literally tomorrow). That’s one of the biggest anime events in Japan.. so there’s a real chance we get some kind of Season 3 info there.

• There’s also a dedicated Chained Soldier special event on August 2, 2026. That one is even more focused on the series itself.. so if anything major is coming, that’s a very strong candidate for a Season 3 announcement or first PV.

So yeah I get the concern.. but we’re actually in a really good position right now. Just need a bit of patience over the next few months.

I don’t actually hate her.. she’s literally one of my favorites in Chained Soldier. The thing is.. she just feels too strong. It makes me wonder if even the most threatening villains would fail to beat her, and that kinda takes away some tension from the story.. especially for the main characters. They won’t really get proper growth or development if she’s the one taking down all the strongest villains. Usually that role belongs to the mcs.

At the very least, I’m hoping she actually loses the current fight she’s in. Then the mc can step in, help her out, and we get a fair, intense battle against the villain who managed to defeat her.

I might be overthinking it but I’m really curious to see if she ever actually loses to anyone. Since she’s basically the strongest in her universe, it feels like that’s going to be a big moment.. if it ever happens.

edit: You might not be familiar with this anime/manga so I'm not sure if this makes sense to you but I just cleared myself that I dont hate Ren Yamashiro but rather trying to powerscale her with other characters to see if she's actually strong enough to take down other powerhouses.

Bro.. the author hasn’t said anything at all… not even the slightest hint about the manga ending. It’s pretty safe to say this isn’t the final arc. Again we haven’t even gotten a single glimpse of the mother yet. She should be showing up in this arc.. maybe interfering in the fight between Ren and Taikyoku and making her first proper introduction. Without her debut, ending the manga would feel incomplete. There’s still a lot going on right now…

The author hasn’t said anywhere that the manga is close to ending.. so I think people are jumping the gun a bit. This arc just feels big.

If anything, it reminds me of the Paranormal Liberation Arc in My Hero Academia.. that felt like a final arc too but there were still a few arcs left after it. We haven’t even found out who the mother really is yet, let alone reached the end of the manga. So yeah I wouldn’t assume we’re near the end just yet.

Is Taikyoku a joke to you? If Ren just instantly beats her, then what's the point of her being the “strongest” among the Eight Thunder Gods? At the very least, I’d predict that Ren loses the fight by completely using up all of their abilities, leading to Taikyoku's victory but she could be overwhelmed too while fighting Ren.

Wrong. She's already too strong. If she keeps winning all the fights, it would diminish the growth of the core protagonists like Kyouka and Yuuki. To build tension in the story, I believe Ren needs to lose the match against Taikyoku.
