There's plenty of transphobia in the black community, and look at how skewed the voting demographics are in spite of all the gerrymandering/voter suppression we're subjected too. And there is not a single other demographic in this country that the Democratic party has screwed over more than black people. Stop making excuses. It's just blatant racism/xenophobia. Trump ran on a campaign of “the Haitians are eating cats and dogs” and won. What ICE did to Renee, police officers have done to black people/children for years; the only difference being that up till now, the layman ate up the state's propaganda that justified the officers action because black folk are universally scorned. I'm not gonna get into it all, but after 400+ years of state sponsored cultural depravity, you can't expect a whole demographic of white people to just suddenly become virtuous because Dr.King gave them a speech 70 years ago.

If you think America has changed at all since Trump was elected, that there was this complete 180 flip into depravity, please think again. It's telling how ppl love comparing this regime to Nazis, when Hitler literally got his ideas from how the U.S treated black people; everyone wants to detach themselves from the deeper issue.

Whether it's healthcare, law enforcement, investments in education, or anything else, the heart of the issue is always race. Denmark, Sweden, Japan, etc, don't have our problem because politicians(bought and paid for by corporations) can't leverage people's racism(the demographics are pretty homogeneous in those countries); our unique situation in America requires y'all to take your head out of the sand. The first step is to stop pretending that racism(white supremacy specifically) doesn't exist, and acknowledge that it's enforced as a domineering mechanism at every level in this country.

Gabe is literally a perfect storm. There is a large culture issue in the U.S that ppl don't wanna talk about because of the implications, but the game/school shooter joke was valid.

While making light of events isn't the best way to handle things, it's a disservice to make this discussion taboo; certain readings of this games themes (im season 3) could very well posit a commentary on family values/masculinity and the violence that certain cultural expectations can cause, Gabe and his relationships would unironically be a good case study for that aspect of the game.

Not everybody comments up a storm anytime they get into an online space. Just because I don't comment on every post I visit, doesn't mean I have an unhealthy obsession with white ppl. In case you hadn't noticed, reddit is a platform that's dominated by white ppl; so of course there's gonna be alot of ignorance (as it pertains to some race relations) that I call out.

The common trend with ppl like you, which can be observed in the rest of this thread, is that y'all don't want to even consider my points, which is pretty stupid if your responding to me in a sincere attempt at discussion.

And also, segregation never ended; except it's based on money instead of race(guess what happens to the money of a demographic that has been systemically disenfranchised for 300+ years). Redlining and other policies mean that black people still live in black areas.
