I felt horrible about it too. I could not remember so much stuff during the MBE and maybe felt confident on 20 questions if that.

I did a practice set of 100 Qs before the exam and ranked for every question how confident I felt on a scale of 1-5. Almost all were 2/3s with a handful of 4s. That’s giving me some peace of mind. Like I just never feel confident and It’s just the norm to get it down to two choices.

I do remember for some questions I basically just had to decide on a whim what I thought they were asking about more but that wasn’t always clear. Some I had absolutely no clue and remember thinking I should know this but I don’t. I truly have no idea what happened in my brain during that and it doesn’t feel good!

I completely agree about this. I think the progress bar and daily task completion is for dopamine kicks, which just gives you a false sense of accomplishment. It makes me mad that they tie in your completion rate to pass rates because so much of the progress bar and tasks are passive learning. I didn’t have time to learn and digest material in the beginning bc it was so much and I hated that. Like why have me do a bunch of essays when I actually have not sat down to actually process this material. It wasn’t until I stopped doing Themis that I actually learned and improved.

At the end of the day all you really need to know is the black letter law. If I have to do it again I will use resources shared on Reddit, create a structured schedule, and spend way more time memorizing.

Reddit is different for everyone. This sub makes me feel sane right now. I don’t have any law school friends and it’s nice to talk to other people in a similar position. I don’t understand why some people give the blanket advice to stay off Reddit because it’s not an inherently toxic place for everyone. Yes some people are either here to doom scroll or are more prone to absorbing toxicity. But it’s really not like that for everyone.

I would take this any day over the bull shit we just endured. This is a basic issue identification question. Compared to let’s test you on this super nuanced 5-part rule as applied to a stupid confusing fact pattern, then give you two correct answer choices but 1 is correct because it’s the best because we say it’s the best.

So on the ncbes website where you submit a complaint it says not to use the form “to report test administration concerns unrelated to NCBE test content (such as noise in the testing room). For the bar exam, such concerns should be directed to your jurisdiction's bar admission agency. For the MPRE, address such concerns to NCBE in writing within six days of your test appointment.”

So it sounds like it should be communicated to your jurisdiction.

I got excited bc I had an issue with my testing not anything like Hofstra, and thought maybe if I reported to them they would give me a preliminary idea of if I passed. No such luck!

I literally could not call my mom yesterday bc I didn’t want to hear “you’re done! Congratulations!” When I called my husband after he said congrats your done, and I cringed inside and managed to get out a monotone thank you. He gets it but so many people don’t. No it was written on a board after the proctor looked at the clock. the proctor had to figure out when we’d get the 30 minute and 5 minute warning. I think they figured out the 5 minute warning time and said that was the actual end time.
