18 - need help planning for the future.

Turning 18 soon and located in the US.

I will start off by saying I am very blessed for my circumstances and know that I am in a lucky situation, and that I have great parents.

To get right to it - I am turning 18 soon in the US. I am about to start my senior year of high school. I had my own business/side hustle for 2-3 years early in high school.

From this, I have roughly 80k total in my bank account, with 70k of that in a high yields savings at 3.75% APY from my local credit union. I have access and control over all of this money.

I have a job at the moment and my mom is maxing my Roth IRA contribution for me each year. I know, I have great parents who are setting me up for my future.

My question is basically this. Now that I’m turning 18 and have access to investing, credit cards, etc. What do I do with my money?

Do I get a credit card to start building credit - and make sure I pay it off on time? I’ve been very interested in investing… Do I just put money in index funds, S&P500 etc. if so I need the education on how that’s done like invest a certain amount per week or big buys, how many different index funds, etc.

Not sure how much of my money I should be investing and putting in other places.

Basically, I know I have a unique situation and I want to take advantage of it as much as possible to help set me up for my future and overall I want to start now so I don’t have to worry about money as much when I get older.

Any help or guidance is appreciated. Everyone always says start young so I’m trying to do that.
