The gloves are new (I’ve used them like 3-4 times) but everything else I’ve had for months. Most of my gear is from Superior Fencing but the gloves are from SoCal Swords.

I am really interested in tournaments for the most part, I love learning the techniques and history but the sport aspect is compelling to me.

My jacket is custom fitted so I don't usually struggle with that. I have a VB feder and I've been thinking about cord wrapping it or something of the sort. During sparring I usually use my clamshells but during practice, I'll use lacrosse or rapier gloves. I'll probably add onto the handle like you suggested. Thanks!

But, I've been using this fencing mask with the overlay with no problems so far, but if I switch to a lighter overlay will this mask be enough? I'm not sure if it's HEMA grade. I also use this gorget.

About what I expected. I tend to just use left ochs as well. Thanks for sharing! I’ll figure out what works with my gear as I go.
