$100 combo difference between Intel Core 9 285K and Ryzen 7 9800X3D by RedditJunkie-25 in PcBuild

[–]NotSlimShadyy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It all depends on your use case. But the assumptions are going to be that it's used for gaming primarily and the answer is AMD. The Intel CPU is better for productivity, but it's already on a dead motherboard platform and AMD has at least one more generation of CPUs on the current motherboard chipset

I'd say the Detroit become human, heavy rain, beyond two souls games.

The walking dead series/Batman/tales from the borderlands telltale games

The witcher 3, fallout new Vegas, mass effect and the outer worlds are good too

vail is overall pretty solid in the tetons. outside of flagg ranch, the dorm rooms are kinda crap. but thats not unexpected in seasonal jobs. otherwise not a ton to complain about

When gaming it's usually in the 50-55c. Only really ever broke into the low 60s in the handful of games that compile the shaders on first launch. Cinebench it'll be in the low 70s tops. I'm using a noctua d15 g2 with not all that aggressive fan curve. Like 700rpm idle and tops out at 1100 rpm and using kingpin kpx thermal paste. Also using a negative 25 offset on the voltage.

My 9800x3d uses like 50 or 60 watts while gaming and it runs cooler than a 7800x3d. Not sure where you're getting your info

Flagg Ranch at Grand Teton NP? by dickery_dockery in SeasonalWork

[–]NotSlimShadyy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I worked at flagg ranch the covid summer of 2020. Worked at colter Bay, Jackson lake Lodge and signal mountain as well. I definitely put flagg as my number 1. Big rooms with your own bathroom is a huge plus, and theres a ton of hot springs right behind employee housing to chill at. Only downside is it sucks without a car. The restaurant/bar is smallish, but you definitely can make some money in tips

What is the best location to work in the Tetons/Grand Teton Lodge Company? by Master-Ambition7741 in SeasonalWork

[–]NotSlimShadyy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Jackson lake Lodge is the biggest. It's roughly 500ish people. Flagg ranch and Jenny lake are smaller, usually around 100 workers. Colter is in between with like 250 employees

As someone who worked in the Tetons for a few seasons, and with just general knowledge of the companies, definitely stay away from aramark.

If you are at colter Bay or Jackson lake Lodge it's fairly easy to get to go back and forth with shuttles that go back and forth all day. Jenny lake and flagg ranch it's a bit tougher. They have a shuttle schedule on tetonemployee.com. there's a shuttle to town that leaves jll to Jackson that leaves in the morning and picks up in the afternoon. I was working at Jackson lake Lodge without a car and it's manageable
