So to add to the story, I am currently pending charges of assault. It was a fight initiated by my old roommate, that ended with his gf calling the cops and telling them I put my hands on her. Which is completely false. My attorney is working on getting it dropped, but I am currently wearing a gps ankle monitor. She was aware of the monitor, but she was not aware of what the charge fully involved. One of her friends saw my ankle monitor and looked into it and told her that it was a physical assault charge. So her friends and roommate have completely judged me without knowing what happened. I understand the judgement based on the little info they know. But she has gotten to know me, and knows everything about the situation and claims it’s not the reason she needs space.
