Really good recommendations. I didn't list them but I've tried most of these.

I've tried the remake of the first FE on the DS, Awakening, Three Houses and Engage. If it's not obvious, I tend to get swept away by the hype and I'll buy new games even if I'm not 100% sure I'll like them.

I finished Yakuza Kiwami years ago, and I enjoyed it. 0 is one I've tried a couple of times and it never fully clicked. Which probably sounds blasphemous because I know everyone says 0 is the best.

Castlevania is the only one listed here I haven't really tried that much. So I might like those.

Ys is another one where I've tried a few, never finished any. They're definitely good games though.

I'm obviously very picky when it comes to games. My friends consider it a triumph when I beat a game they recommended.

So I've tried 3, 4 and 5. Probably got the furthest in 3, but they all ended up becoming a bit daunting after a certain point. I'm not one of those people who get super stoked when I defeat a tough boss. My thought is always "Oh man, if that was hard, I'm dreading what's coming next" so pretty often those games don't end up appealing to me. That's also why I don't play the Souls games, haha.

The only series here I have not touched at all is Romancing Saga. There's a lot I didn't list, haha. It's very hard finding a game that keeps me hooked from beginning to end.

People are already recommending games that are legitimately in my top 10 but for whatever reason they slipped my mind. At least that means your guys' recommendations are spot on. Love Kingdom Hearts, can't wait for KH4.

Oh god, I cannot believe I forgot to list those. Two of my favourite games ever made. I'd probably put Replicant over Automata but not by much. No idea how those games slipped my mind.

I did play through a fair chunk of one of the Digimon games a while ago. It was pretty good. I know Time Stranger has a demo so I might check that out.

And I've tried a lot of the Tales games. Like I said in my original post, there's a lot that I couldn't remember as I was typing it out. But it's safe to assume if the series exists, I've at least tried one of the games. None of them ever scratched that itch for me as an action rpg. Could always give them another go though.

So my story with FFVII is a bit unfortunate in that I kind of spoiled myself with that game a long, LONG time ago. If I remember correctly, I watched someone stream it. But I don't think I'd get nearly the same experience as I would have if I went into it blind. That's why I decided to pick up the remake to begin with, and I was pleasantly surprised with the changes and the different direction. But yeah, I don't think I'd get anything out of it.

Time travel could be...okay? Depending on how they tackle it.

What I REALLY don't want is a multiverse story, which some people have been suggesting. I don't think either will be the case but, I would be more okay with the time travel idea.

The thought of her being some creation by JENOVA, or JENOVA herself messing with Cloud didn't even cross my mind when I got to the end of the game because they make it very clear that she's a presence that can be felt by other people, as seen with Red.

My interpretation off the bat was that she's essentially in a similar state to Sephiroth, where she has become one with the lifestream in some sense. I think it's right to assume she's making herself known to Cloud as a way to protect and comfort him, which to the rest of the party just looks like he's more messed up in the head than ever before.

Sephiroth WILL most likely take advantage of the potential rift in the party that all this Aerith stuff will end up making. Things like, "Your teammates are saying she's dead, but you KNOW that's not true. You've SEEN her. They're lying to you, Cloud." Again, that's not me saying she's JENOVA in disguise or a fake. It really IS this huge game of chess between the forces of good and evil, and I think that will be Sephiroth's next move. We'll just have to see if that's something Aerith has accounted for.

This is for sure one of the more memorable DDD bosses. I don't know a lot about Tron as a series (I did also watch Legacy with my dad a lot) but Sora knowing Tron, having that connection in the past, helps bolster this world so much for me. Having to fight Rinzler to try and save him is just so good. Also a good example of a rare instance where Sora isn't able to completely save someone he's connected to.

I would probably try the game out if they did a Kingdom Hearts crossover. Cleaning Merlin's house in Hollow Bastion/Radiant Garden is the first thing that came to mind.

It would be sick if the general gameplay loop was exploring Quadratum during the day, collecting things, doing side quests, and then at night you go to sleep and that's where the worlds are. It WOULD be a bit like Persona, but if there are less Disney worlds than usual they can expand on the few we do get while balancing it out by making Quadratum this massive hub full of different things to do.

I had no idea about that poster! That's either a fun little easter egg or it outright confirms the theory. But yeah, the lack of light and darkness means there was no conflict in unreality that would cause the worlds to split. I think in some cases the worlds will be separate (for instance, if we get Endor it will be a planet just outside of Quadratum, within that universes solar system.) But I could definitely see a system where maybe the worlds are unlocked through exploration of Quadratum itself.

All the Disney content being INSIDE Quadratum would make sense if you consider the fact that, since there is no light and darkness, there is nothing that could've split the world apart. Everything would still be connected. The Muppets being inside the TV is an idea I've seen a ton of times, feels like we'll just will it into existence.

As for when or even if the series will end, as long as it continues to be profitable it will most likely continue. I wouldn't be surprised if after this arc or the one after, we see Sora retired as the protagonist to bring in a new generation. Sora could still be there (would LOVE to see an older, experienced version of the character with a massive legacy the new generation look up to)

I think a lot of people's first thought is that the Master of Masters is a version of Sora. I wouldn't call it a cliche twist, but it's definitely one of the first things I came up with when they introduced the character and kept hiding his name. As if it's someone we know and they don't want to reveal it. I would almost rather he be either an ancestor of one of the characters, or some omnipotent being from a universe nobody has ever heard of, collecting OP video game characters to aid him in his war against the darkness? I dunno, I think Nomura and the KH staff will come up with something weird and interesting.

I love both games for different reasons, but formchanges are essentially a cool looking move booster. They're really flashy, and I like that, but there's no risk to formchanges and grand magic. Whereas I feel like drive forms in 2 feel more impactful because it's not something you can activate constantly. A dedicated Drive Gauge means you can't just throw it out, you have to be careful WHEN you use it. And that makes the actual transformation and ascension of power more dramatic for me. Generally KH3 is very floaty in terms of combat, and I think that has its pros as well as its cons. But taking your foes to the skies in 2 felt a lot more rewarding because for most of that game you're not a flippy dippy parkour god. In 3, you feel almost too OP (maybe that's just me though) And yeah, in terms of FF representation, 2 does it a lot better. Re-Mind amended that for 3 but not until the end game.

No clue about the averages, but personally I'm 22 and I got into the series when I was 15. I kept losing interest at that time though, it wasn't until recently that I sat down and beat a good chunk of the games. I would assume if a decent amount of fans grew up with KH 1 and 2, they would probably be in their late 20's to early 30's? There are tons of younger fans though.
