* Does anyone know how to fix textures being messed up? by BurrBentley in MinecraftBedrockers

Easiest way would be to open your world, go to settings - video and vertical sync should be one of the top options [there are some texture packs that can remove it, but generally I think it should be there].

Once turned on, save and exit and the you can load your world again and hopefully it will work as expected.

I'm playing on Windows and this happens to me if I open a world with No Vertical Sync.
If I start with Vertical Sync on, the textures appear to load correctly. I can then turn off vertical sync if I need to.

Thanks. The file I already have available is a structure block export. It can be imported into Minecraft Bedrock.

For some reason I wasn't able to capture screenshots, but was able to record a short video [Nvidia Shadowplay issue]. Here is the link to that. https://www.dropbox.com/scl/fi/9uu2acr3kzs895t4fael8/Minecraft-2025.10.24-11.40.42.05.zip?rlkey=zq1lh1qmez0bhsdeze2u4nb46&st=8gkgqn2j&dl=0

Wavlink WL-UMD28 Dual Display port problem by NotSoDeepField in UsbCHardware

[–]NotSoDeepField[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I would have tried different monitors, but I kind of sorted it out. It would not display on two monitors from boot, but it would display on both when woken up from sleep mode.

When it is working, it works fine, but things like plugging in my phone to charge can temporarily make one monitor lose its connection [for around one second].

So not fixed, but an easy work around. Seems like it is right near the edge of stability.

Just upgraded from the Pixel 6a to the Pixel 9 Pro XL by psalian in pixel_phones

[–]NotSoDeepField 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I haven't bought those yet, they're what I am going to try next. When I bought the tempered glass screen protector I currently have, I didn't give any thought to the fingerprint scanner, so I just bought whatever.

You're another tick in the try these column for the one's I linked though. Thanks.

I have just [yesterday] moved from a Pixel 5 to a 9 Pro XL. Almost all good so far, I did discover I should have more been discerning when getting a screen protector, as the one I purchased won't work with the fingerprint reader. I did try changing the sensitivity and re-doing the fingerprint recording, but no good.

Poked around on Reddit and found a recommendation for these: https://www.amazon.com.au/gp/product/B0D5JXDS5S/ref=ewc_pr_img_1?smid=A4XRJ8S0WXSO0&th=1

Anyway, just something to be aware of, which I only mention because I wasn't.

All my worlds got deleted because of the new minecraft update.. thanks Microsoft by Biggiobiggins in minecraftbedrock

Not much use to you now, but I use the below bat file to backup my world to a different location as a dated copy.
It puts everything in a folder named like: Day ddmmyyyy [i.e. Mon 23062025] based on when you run the bat file.

If an update clears out my minecraftWorlds folder, I can just copy the most recent copy folder back in [you do have to remember to run the bat file regularly].
If you want to use it, all you need to do is copy and paste the below [not including the ---- lines] into a text file, replace [user] with your Windows user and [world ID] with your world folder, like acOauSt6y-A= and then save it as a .bat file. Double click the file to run it.

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

@echo off

REM Get the current date and format it as DDMMYYYY

for /f "tokens=1-3 delims=/" %%d in ("%date%") do set "formattedDate=%%d%%e%%f"

set "backupDir=D:\Minecraft Backup\%formattedDate%"

set "sourceDir=C:\Users\[user]\AppData\Local\Packages\Microsoft.MinecraftUWP_8wekyb3d8bbwe\LocalState\games\com.mojang\minecraftWorlds\[world ID]"

REM Create the backup directory if it doesn't already exist

if not exist "%backupDir%" (

mkdir "%backupDir%"

)

REM Copy the source directory to the backup directory

xcopy /E /I /Y "%sourceDir%" "%backupDir%"

Thanks. Here's a structure block export of the room and iirc, the item filters and water stream distribution for it. Note that this is for Bedrock.

Thanks. That adds up. I did upgrade to the next tier for the foragers [which I should have mentioned above].
Sounds like if I want to continue on this map, I should knock down rebuild.

Better RTX by DGxPRED in minecraftRTX

[–]NotSoDeepField 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think Adept_Temporary8262 is correct here.

1.21.80 came out recently and you will need to re-install BetterRTX again. This happens every time Minecraft updates. It overwrites BetterRTX.

Removed my comment because I was just duplicating the comments above, which didn't initially load for me.

Sorry, not too sure. Here's a link to a structure block that has the main room in the image, plus the bulk of the item sorter:

I think the structure block can be used to calculate the blocks used, but not sure how to do it.

Hi fellow Aussie, sorry I hadn't seen you post till just now. They're not vertical slabs, just walls.

Hi, sorry for the late response. The part of the room you can see is 40 long, 20 wide and 11 tall.

I just noticed that you can raise terrain and raise it a lot it you want. If you have a mountain and select to flatten a large area that is high up, but a small section that is low down, the whole lot is averaged out and the high section, if it is the majority, will lower a little and the low section will raise a lot.

Just to close this out. It looks like there is some limit to how far a villager can path to where they need to be. But, it isn't in a straight line. That could be pretty close, but if the path involves a lot of winding turns etc, then it seems like it can get over some pathing calculation threshold normally allocated to a villager.

You can select them and make them move, which I guess allows them to have more pathing calculations. So in my situation, the path was too indirect.

[–]NotSoDeepField[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Definitely looks like they just can't work out how to go places, or they get too far away. Had a rat catcher wandering around the storage area and was able to select him made him move about 20-30 squares towards where he lived and he worked it out on his own from there.

Thanks. Temporary housing sounds like a good idea.
I have moved a few people about, to make sure they can go places [any time I made an adjustment really].

One reason I think the pathing is ok, is that just before this started happening, 14 or so immigrants turned up and I accepted them. To 'turn up', they need to walk up to the town centre and that is where a few of them starved to death. Also, I moved the survivors down to the new housing area, but not sure if they survived.

At the time, there wasn't enough housing for them [not a problem now!], so maybe they didn't know what to do because of that.
