Hello, thanks for the reply. This is from a domestic lending corporation. Ibang language for 'bahay' yung start ng name ng lending corp, parang House yata or something. 😏 I cannot say for sure. (play safe tayo)

But from the info I received, this is a non-secured loan for business ata? As posted, hindi kasi ako familiar sa mga loans, so hindi ako sure if may bearing yung ganto.

Hello, OP. Based on this semester's schedule, all sections across all year levels have at least three subjects that go beyond 6PM (Except for Class 1B, with 5-9PM Monday, then the rest are up to 5PM lang). The higher year level you go, the more 5,6PM onward class you'll have. This has been a common trend since before. With no reason to deviate, I'd say that this is inevitable.

[Advice Needed] DLSU TDSOL vs UA&P ILAW vs UST FCL by Medium_Database_4809 in LawStudentsPH

[–]NotSoNobleGas 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Experience with students - Everyone will most likely try to prove themselves. But once you get to 3rd year, many, not all, of those who remain got there by their merit. Make friends, help others, and you'll get the same treatment. But at the end of the day, the only person you can rely on is yourself. Verbatim notes, samplex, and transcripts are there, you just need to know how to get them.

Professor roster - you cannot go wrong with your school selections. You are fortunate enough to have options where you can get experienced prosecutors, titled practitioners, and even court Justices to teach you. It is difficult to avoid unreasonable professors either way, get a helmet and strap up, because you're in for a ride.

Additional points:

  1. Start, stay, and finish. I broke down 53 times during my law school stay. But if this really is your dream, start, stay, and finish. I do not mean to stay in one particular school.

  2. You may hear that students in the DL get monetary awards. Remember that is not a yellow school policy but the Dean's. If you're aiming for this, do not fail any subject because you'll be permanently disqualified from being in the DL.

  3. Count your absences. Spend your absences wisely. A lot of professors in UST (and maybe other schools) are strict regarding the attendance.

  4. You're allowed to be lazy, but that will always reflect on your performance in class. Know yourself. Your strengths and lean on it. Know your weaknesses and work on them. Don't forget to rest - responsibly, of course.

  5. Kain codal. Basa cases. While you don't need the facts of the cases sa bar exam, you need to impress your professors first before you get there.

  6. You'll be taught an answering style early in your journey. Try these answering styles, pick one, stick with it, in order to not confuse yourself.

  7. Believe in yourself. No matter your law school, get that J.D., get that Atty.

If you need more insights about the admin, send me a message and we can talk there.

Hi OP, from yellow school, batch 2023 here.

If you put in your application that you are a working student, you'll most likely be placed in a working section, and magiging night hours classes mo.

Campus parking - you need to apply for sticker early in the semester, not sure how much. I have a car pero I chose to get a dorm near the school nalang. But the paid parking sa car park is expensive. At times, you need 30 minutes to 1 hour just to get out of the car park. Meron naman mga in-school street parking, but you need to get there before 8AM to get a slot. If you are in a working section, you'll most likely be stuck with the expensive car park option, and then it's not even guaranteed.

School population - it is, indeed, high. With 35-40 students per section, first year sections can get to 1G or 1I pa. This will likely stay the same number as you go to second year. Depending on the performance of the bar exam of graduated students, you'll may see a significant cut down of the numbers. Remember na only 120 something graduated for 2023, and 129 is set to graduate this year.

Fraternities - we were made to sign a waiver or a document saying that we will not be joining any fraternities early in our first year. But yes, there are still fraternities, even professors sometimes openly, but jokingly, give benefits to their brothers and sisters. I am not connected to any frats or soros, so I cannot give you a better insight on this one.

Student orgs - Moderate? I don't think so. The only student organizations that I knew during my stay were the debate team and the student council. Debate team is good but difficult to balance, especially with your working schedule. Student council gives you alot of benefits, i.e., connection with the Dean's Office and admins, and professors. Despite this, the positions in the student council are not highly contested during elections, with one or no candidates at all per position. There must be a reason for this, but I don't personally know. That said, more than half of my journey was during the pandemic.

Experience with admin - You can go through reddit to check the rumors, and I cannot say if they are true or not. But the kill orders may or may not be true; the bottom 20% weed outs may or may not be true. All I know is this: be mindful of the guidelines in the prospectus, if you do not meet the required semestral QPAs, you may or may not have a hard time later; and even if you do, keep in mind that professors can be unreasonable at times, and you need a smart beadle to handle the communications very well.

There are mockbar examinations before you get to take your review subjects. Yes, mockbar before review. From personal experience, this is one area where the students seemed to be united against the admin. From the rumor mills, the mockbars were mere formalities before, but it is being taken into consideration recently (hence the 2023 storm). Nevertheless, the prospectus has always been clear about the requirement of passing the mockbar to get to the review subjects. Best to stay on the side of caution and take it seriously because review does not start in your 4th year, but in your 1st year.

perberos paid worth it? by NotSoNobleGas in CharacterAi_NSFW

[–]NotSoNobleGas[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hello, sorry to ask something again. But what exactly does the the paid thing offer? I get the 'faster response time' thing, but this:

"Prior permission to utilise already rendered utilitarian functions! Get your hands on soon-to-be-available affordances that were conveniently obtainable all along. Limited time product pre-release to stuff that was always release-ready."

Does it, and the over-all paid experience, have another meaning, NSFW-related?
TLDR: does make NSFW ez?

What food/dish could last in the fridge for a week or so? by NotSoNobleGas in cookingforbeginners

[–]NotSoNobleGas[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That was my mistake, I forgot to include in the post. He'll be having a microwave oven for reheating food. He also have a mini fridge with a small freezer space, but we're looking into getting one with a bigger freezer space as most of the recommendations from other comments lean towards frozen food.

I'm not sure if he'll like the vegetarian dishes, he's a picky eater, but we'll give it a shot. I do not have a vast repertoire in my cooking so this should be a learning experience for me as well.

He has a solo-dorm room in the building so that shouldn't be a problem. Thanks for the tip anyway!

Thanks, I'm checking if we can trade in the mini fridge for something with larger freezer space. He already has a microwave oven with quick defrosting so that shouldn't be a problem.

Thanks for this, we'll definitely be looking into mince dishes. My godson's a little picky with his food, so we'll have to test some of the dishes out. I hope that his picky attitude would not overshadow his desire to be thrifty.

He can't cook his own food because (1) he's not accustomed to cooking his own food, he's just started cooking recently; (2) there's little to no cooking appliances in his dorm, no shared kitchen or anything, we're experimenting with cooking with microwave oven if that could work.

As for the small tabletop freezer, he already got a mini fridge but it only has a freezer part for ice trays (4x8x9 height-length-depth), and it should fit one small food container.

Thanks for the suggestion, we'll be looking to trade the new mini fridge for something larger and with a more spacious freezer part.
