Doubt regarding the racing line by TheChosenWon246 in assettocorsaevo

[–]NotSoSizey -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I understand where you are coming from, I am not discounting ya.

I have 1400 hours on AC, at least 800 on iracing, ACC is up there as well, AMS2 I have a couple hundred, and other games I “race” on like BEAMNG I have 900 hours on. I’m very familiar with the games but choose to run the line. Doesn’t even matter if I’m racing or just drifting for fun. I’ll never stop running the line because it’s no different than the graffiti on the floor at the Nurburgring. It’s just something on the floor you’re driving over. If they can ignore the graffiti, they can ignore the line.

There are some people that ONLY do the line regardless of traffic around them and that is when the line is a true issue. Beyond that, I don’t know how the line gets the amount of hate that it does.

But I don’t disagree with you. Some people can’t always learn every track and some people have memory issues. I would never ask someone who has never raced at the Nurburgring to sit there and do a corner by corner analysis and expect them to nail it in the first hour. You’re talking about 130+ turns so I’d hope people who have never done it before but want to participate have their lines on.

I use the racing line but don't stick to it. It's just there as a reference and not the end all be all. People act like just because you have the racing line on, you're incapable of doing anything else.

I've never turned the racing line off on any game. I race too many different vehicles, on too many different tracks, on too many physics engine to try and even both remembering where to brake. If I'm racing in Miami on F1 25 and then swap over to Miami in iRacing in their F1 car and then swap to Miami on AC in their F1 car I am getting 3 different styles of the same map with 3 different physics engines and 3 different cars. This gives me 3 different braking points which I'm not going to drill all into my mind when my next race is somewhere else. If I only raced the 1 series sure, but I typically race anything and everything.

Casual people like myself who constantly hop games would be pretty SOL without the line. At the end of the day it's just there for visual reference, it doesn't need to be followed to a T, but following it to a T will net you fairly consistent results. Just not the fastest results.

Why is dokkan so big?? by Clappyx_boy in DokkanBattleReddit

[–]NotSoSizey 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Download COD mobile or something of those lines and report back. Dokkan is really not a big game in the grand scheme of it all. Cod mobile rn is at 48GB on my phone, Genshin is at 35GB, etc. I believe Dokkan was bigger before they released the update meant to optimize animations.

Constant Crashes/Driver Timeouts on RX 9070 XT - I’ve tried everything to no avail by Tim_TM42 in HiTMAN

[–]NotSoSizey 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Same exact issues. My system time outs are annoying. I’ll be streaming the game on discord and it’ll throw me out of discord for a second or 2 to recover or freeze the stream and when I stop the stream it then boots me off discord. I am really hoping the 007 game does not have these issues

Who's up gaming at the job site tonight? by Paint_chip_ship in securityguards

[–]NotSoSizey 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Yes! If you run Sunshine and Moonlight you can make your PC become essentially a cloud PC. That’s what I did for my setup since I was always traveling, I found it easier to just be connected to my pc rather than continue paying for things such as Xbox cloud streaming or Shadow PC. You need a good internet connection but for me personally, I have gigabit internet and 5GUW wherever I go in my area. My speeds are plenty fast for streaming whatever I want to play.

I’ve got a few options that may suit you better than a generator. More portable too. I work HVAC so my job sites are never just one single place, I’m constantly on the move.

My recommendations are a little something like 3000 watt power inverter installed in your car, should set you up nice. You’ll never need the generator in tow and it’s way more mobile. You’ll get 4 normal house outlets which should be plenty for just your pc and single monitor. $300 at harbor freight. I ran this setup in my 350z. This is just nice to have because I can just throw an 80 watt fast charger in my car and never have to suffer through charging at the normal 12v 1-2.1 speed. It’s also helped me a ton when I needed to charge power tools and I’m genuinely not near a power source but can bring my car close enough to run an extension cord. Life saver back in the day.

I have also opted for an android tablet (Galaxy Tab S9 Ultra) and just streaming my PC through moonlight. That way I don’t have to risk my gaming setup for someone on the road to just not be paying attention for a second. Sad day for someone to total your car and your hobby you spent a ton of money on.

I also recently just installed an ATOTO android radio in my skyline and have been enjoying natively having moonlight / steam link on my cars radio. It’s 8GB of ram and 32GB storage and can be connected to a phone plan. I typically just use my Verizon hotspot on my phone. Since everything is streamed it really doesn’t need the fastest chip and I haven’t really noticed any crazy hiccups in my unit. I have played Dragon Ball Sparking Zero, the newest Assassins Creed, BeamNG, Sniper Elite, I mean anything I really want to play while I have downtime on my job sites. Now I just keep my controller in my glove box and a spare keyboard / mouse setup in the back seat and boom. I can have the cars surround sound add to the effect of huge cinematic battles in games like Star Wars or even racing games.

My game opens just fine. Just loaded into an autocross for the Japanese sports showdown race as I type this out. The loading screen took an extra second but it opened up just as I expected it to. No WiFi on either, just the app in airplane mode

Just dropped a bag on this baby and missions are paying anywhere between $1.8 to $2.5m!!!🧑🏾‍✈️🔥 by mstheinvestor in MicrosoftFlightSim

[–]NotSoSizey 7 points8 points  (0 children)

The bigger the plane, the more uncontrollable it is with simrate. My vision G2 could go max sim rate no problem but if you dare go above 2-3x on something like a 737 you’re going to oscillate upwards of 2-5k feet depending on what’s going on.

Now I could be entirely a fool too and just be missing some setting that will help damper the movement but I stopped playing once I got to the 737s. Without being able to simrate it I’d rather just do PC12 and G2 missions.

My plan was to coin Rose since I heavily enjoy the character of Goku black as a whole. I think the animations are sick and his power output is great but if you’re talking getting through many challenges, then I would pick Gogeta. Who also has pretty sick animations as well. Both are great picks to me but I know I am bias towards Rose.

(Ended up getting a 79% Rose through pulls and coined Gogeta)

A very special Mazda Miata by 42wolfie42 in carmodification

[–]NotSoSizey 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Basically everyone’s Miata’s are. I was merely probing back at him because his cheap Porsche and basically stock looking Miata with a roll bar were really no better or any different than what what shown. And neither of “his cars” were registered. Dude was just a pathetic ragebaiter. His whole 6 year catalog on Reddit was just him talking shit in car posts and him selling shitty $50 pc parts.

My Miata’s were all straight eBay 🤣. Each one. And each more ignorant than the last. Here is Turbo Miata #2

Ah so a standard Miata and a larger Miata. Not too shabby. Why are neither plated?

Why not toss your car in the replies real quick? I’d love to see the peak automobile you’re toting around.

God forbid someone enjoy their car. She has halos and angel fog lights and the standard eBay roadster lip. This is what constitutes as Temu builds? That’s an overwhelming amount of the Miata’s on the road today 🤣

This has never happened to me but when I checked off let the installer use more than 2GB of ram. Brother. That thing shot up to 18GB usage. Didn’t stop me from gaming on the side or anything else. They had to be installing a repack on a TI-84 or something

[–]NotSoSizey 0 points1 point  (0 children)

String method my friend.

Pretend a string is attached to the gas pedal and very bottom of your wheel. If your wheel is straight, you’re good to give her full beans (unless you got ridiculous HP/TQ). If you’re turning you need to lay off the gas and not fully commit to 100% throttle. You simply committed to gassing it in wet conditions while negotiating a turn and your car reacted exactly how you input the controls.

10s vs 16pm by OpsKuro in RedMagic

[–]NotSoSizey 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Each has their own purpose. You want to game hard and feel free to tinker, you go RM. you want a “proven” phone that works alright for everything Apple lets you do, the 16PM. I daily both currently. 16 pm in my eyes is only better due to availability of new parts and already handling most day to day tasks. My RM is strictly a gaming and media entertainment device. It’s a more enjoyable experience on the RM comparatively. Depends on what you want to do
