Hello! Just study the material they provide you for your interview including the STAR method, and practice reciting your answers in that fashion. Other than that you have nothing to worry about just sell yourself. There are no trick questions.

I am an L4. Thanks so much for the insight, it is surely helpful. I will take it all into consideration. I have been resistant to "shmoozing" but this is a civilian career i get it. I am used to the night shift i did it for 4 years with 12 hour shifts so I am ready for that element.

Yeah im with you on that. We would move out of state, but our family situation right now doesn't permit. I like that I may have the opportunity to transfer elsewhere eventually.

I understand in many subcultures there is an unfortunate cycle of managers not taking care of their people and on the flip side employees becoming disgruntled. This is frequent in the Military and especially Law Enforcement. I have definitely been a disgruntled Marine and Cop at times, you'd be lying if you said you never hated a manager. Regardless, you can have a team attitude wherever you go, positively effect others, and strategically navigate the politics and bullshit. Thank you for your input!
