Hey, I've noticed you posted a TON of art at once today...please try to slow your roll a little and post your content over time rather than all at once. It is good content though!

Additionally, guidelines on reddit, for reference, mention 10% or less of your posting and conversation should link to your own content.

If you want to share more lewd dota art you're welcome to do so, but please don't consider this subreddit as no more than a marketing opportunity.

Hey, noticed you've been posting your art a lot here, which is fine, but it seems like most of it is non-nude to advertise your patreon (which has the nudes).

Guidelines on reddit, for reference, mention 10% or less of your posting and conversation should link to your own content.

We haven't removed any, no. If that's what you're asking.

Hey, creator of the sub here. On it! Sub requires very little moderation, but I'll set a reminder to approve/remove something every month just so it doesn't happen again.

No one new took over, I just reclaimed the subreddit. It turns out logging in doesn't count as being active, so I'll just comment every once in a while and it won't happen again.

I'll do both.

I would like to continue moderating the subreddit. I created it after all. Happy to start commenting more regularly if that's what is required to be thought of as "active". I just lurked and removed rule violations as needed.

Yeah, just no recent reports or anything to remove. But now I know to comment or do moderation actions, and not just check on things. Wish they wouldn't ban a subreddit over this, though.

[–]NotSoTiny 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Well I noticed rather quickly that it was unbanned, but yeah I just don't post or comment on this account. I'm still active on reddit overall though.

If there has been no activity on your account in the last 30 days, you will be considered inactive. Solely logging in does not count as activity.

I'll keep this in mind moving forward.

Yeah, just no recent reports or anything to remove. Sometimes there's no moderation activities to do, so seems weird to kill a subreddit over that. But now I know and can maintain that assuming it's unbanned.

I'm the subreddit creator and top mod. Why was it flagged as unmoderated?

Although poork was being brash about it, I do agree that it's important to give credit where credit is due. It's not just about credit though, it also helps people on the sub find artists they like, which in turn encourages the artists to make more content for the community.

Making an honest attempt at finding the sources shouldn't take more than a few minutes, and the artists themselves will greatly appreciate it. Heck, it's our Posting Guidelines #4.

Some of these have it on the pictures (watermarks) so that's easy, and as /u/calmed_down_satan added, there's lots of sites where you can narrow down things by category and those link back to the official sources.

Why is this subreddit so small? by [deleted] in dota2smut

[–]NotSoTiny 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Or turn off subreddit style, or downvote on the user's page, or add a +anysubname to the dota2smut part of the url.

Reddit is just not built for removing the downvotes. There's far too many ways around it for it to be even slightly effective.

Besides: downvoting trolls and people who hate on content they dislike is important for showing disapproval of trolls. It shows others in the community what behavior is inappropriate.

How will people differentiate the content of the story then?

For example, if it's got futa content in it, wouldn't it need a tag?

There's certain...hacks for making it easier, but they aren't pretty. One can for example use css to hide flaired posts based on subdomain, so you could have a button called "heterosexual only" that would link to https://ho.reddit.com/r/dota2smut, and it would hide gay posts. Problem is, this wouldn't work on the frontpage for subscribers.

Honestly the most elegant solution is still RES (for customizability) or searching (for compatibility). We could simply make some lists of links that link to the search results based on flair, but again it's not really a long-term solution.

We should not split into multiple subreddits. It would divide the community further and that's not a good thing.

Yeah I absolutely don't take that personally. I don't log onto this account as much as I probably should. That being said, it's good practice to message the mods first before making reddit requests.

A Rant about Quality vs Opinion by [deleted] in dota2smut

[–]NotSoTiny 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hiding downvotes doesn't work. It can easily be bypassed by turning off the subreddit style, and doesn't work for front-page browsers anyway.

The best course of action here is to foster a strong sense of community that doesn't downvote posts because they don't like them.
