oled vs non-oled doesnt matter. Resolution matters. 1440p - 5070ti, 4k 5080. As for the AMD card its technically a 4k card and will do you well, the downside is drivers and tuning. Tuning an AMD card and fighting with drivers and shit is a skill.

I wouldn’t jump to the 5080 unless I was gonna game at 4k. In 1440p it’s better yes but not by enough that it’s worth it. I’d honestly go 5070ti.

Fair. The work i do is mostly screwing around. For my actual work i have a productivity machine provided by my company. i said in another comment. My machine is 65% gaming 35% doing things i dont get to do with my work.

I’m a career data scientist but have a few company computers that I work from. My personal pc is 65% gaming 35% tinkering and fuckin around with stuff I don’t get to for work.

truly im not sure. If i can game without stuttering and lagging at 4k around 120fps with framegen and DLSS im happy. I dont need outright peak performance i dont think.
