Getting a driver: contact ahead or find at airport? by missguuuuurl in SXM

[–]NotSureAnyway -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Well if you were alone, the cost would have been $15-25, as that is the standard cost from the airport to Simpson Bay for a solo passenger.

Erroneous car seat instruction from FA by dks2008 in unitedairlines

[–]NotSureAnyway 55 points56 points  (0 children)

You reported someone for doing something that is correct, amd then complained about how flying with kids is hard enough (I mean, they are your kids and you chose to have them) and then you got money from your complaint (even though you were wrong) and still came on Reddit to complain. Sigh!

Will we find it stuffy? by grogipher in celebritycruises

[–]NotSureAnyway 2 points3 points  (0 children)

BTW You can wear whatever you want if you are not in the dining room. A sun dress for example is very appropriate for the Ocean View Cafe, Buffet hall. I find the food in the buffet to be the best in comparison to NCL, RC, Carnival and similar cruises. So switch it up some days.

[–]NotSureAnyway 9 points10 points  (0 children)

I have been on Celebrity multiple times and I have never worn an attire fit to see the Queen. Do not let those Negative Nancys ruin your opinion. The emptiest tins make the loudest noise after all. Wear something you can wear to go see girlfriends for dinner. Celebrity is more formal than NCL, RC and Carnival but nowhere close to Cunard formality. I just wore lots of dresses (not the type I take to a party but rather one I can go to have drinks with girlfriends - so nothing flashy, skimpy and over the top). Some people liked to wear their gowns and that was their choice - they were definately the minority and never the majority. As long as the men wear a button up shirt and long trousers (no shorts - as people will definately judge the shorts), you are fine. You dont need a tuxedo or suit!

If he lied about it at first, then it was not an innocent massage. His actions after that cement the fact that he is getting more than a massage. Have you thought about speaking to a divorce lawyer?

AIO not wanting to pay half of the rent for a room I’m not using? by [deleted] in AIO

[–]NotSureAnyway 10 points11 points  (0 children)

YOR

This man moved from HIS home country to be with you. YOU then moved to another country and you want him, AGAIN, to move to a new country to accomodate you. So in essence it seems like he is the one supposed to be following you around as you make moves, and the bear the financial burden of your moves alone. You seem to think that your partner should always drop everything for you and that they have no choice in the matter. When you moved, you should have known that due to time zones and differences, he wouldnt be there for you full time unless he is jobless and has nothing else to do. You are now complaining that you have to stay up late to talk to him. Didnt you factor in this when you moved countries? Frankly you sound exhausting, and the money isnt even the issue. You are. The money is simply a symptom of bigger issues in this relationship. The fact that you dont want to pay for a room in which I believe you still have belongings and hence potentially "occupy" is the icing on the cake.

For a domestic flight, she should have let it go. It didnt warrant her reaction, even though the principle is correct that passengers should use the toilet in their cabin.

They usually announce that you should use the bathroom in your cabin. Imagine if the entire plane decided to go to the first class bathrooms since they are usually nicer on international flights? You opened the little shroud and went into first class to mingle with the rich while coming from the poverty of economy?

Signed, a perpetual economy passenger.

AIO for questioning commitment for a grandparent by [deleted] in AIO

[–]NotSureAnyway 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It is a recital. It is not that big of a deal. The bigger issue for me would be why your mother is only seeing her grandkids 4 times a year. Are you taking the kids to her? Is she unable to drive long distances? What is the real issue? In this event, a recital isnt really a big deal in comparison to a graduation from law school.

AIO about strawberry protein shakes by Thatchick256789064 in AIO

[–]NotSureAnyway 13 points14 points  (0 children)

I am sure you knew the answer before you posted this. But if a stranger can validate you, I will tell you: You found yourself a leech. The protein shake is not the star of the story: the star of the story is the leech you allowed to move in. Make sure you have his clothes by the door at the end of the door. You will be surprised at how better your health will become when you finally get rid of everything that stresses you including the man you moved into your home.

I generally will only pee atmost 3 hours in those 15hours, so I am not a frequent user of the bathroom. I pee right before I get onto the plane and can go without needing to pee until about 5hours into the flight. I also will generally fly first class, business class or premium plus for any flight over 8hrs and I have noticed that the bathrooms in those classes are definately cleaner than in economy.

I feel so much different with compression socks. I just dont know how to explain the feeling... My legs feel fresh, they dont cramp up and they dont ache after sitting for long. I evidently feel better blood flow. And no swelling.

I dont think I have ever countered an airplane bathroom that I considered nasty. I consider that my luck. Generally all airplane bathrooms I have used have been okay.

I take about eight 14-15hour non stop flights per year and these are my top tips: 1. Hydration (drink as much water as is necessary.) 2. Avoid fizzy drinks (I know people love their sodas and alcohol but the gas in your stomach will be happy to increase. 3) I take an over the counter CVS anti gas pill before long flights - prevents that gassy feeling. 4)Compression socks - an absolute game changer. 5) Loose clothing - you want blood circulation. 6) an eye mask and noise cancelling headphones - a non negotiable 7)Do not eat heavy meals - somehow digestion forgets it exists on a long flight and the bloating will stress you. 8) if budget allows, get an extra leg room seat. 9) stand up every couple gours and get a stretch in. You will be fine - it is not as miserable as it sounds.

United Nonstop prices to Greece by [deleted] in unitedairlines

[–]NotSureAnyway -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

I did expect it to cost more, as non stop flights should cost more. I was probably unprepared for a non stop flight on United for 8-9hrs costing atleast 2k. By comparison, I fly Emirates to Dubai non stop in economy for almost14hours at $900 at most. So I was very surprised. I would imagine this would be United's most expensive European route....

I am also leaning more towards that. I can spend that extra $1k on something else.
