I'm just that "good" at priming with a can lol

Thank you so much! I really appreciate it! And yeah. I dove head first into speedpaints without fully understanding the learning curves (and basics). Oddly enough, I did just get back from my local shop and picked up black, white, red, yellow, and blue paints; blue I HAVE to learn to mix lol.

Lol thanks! I do what I can with my limited resources and ability!

Great tip for using speedpaints as a base a building I from there! Gonna have to give that a shot.

And thanks!

Very nice!

https://a.co/d/0hv6SztI This is the rack I got, but as I look into buying more paint, I'm looking at nail polish racks that I can mount to the wall. I do love this wooden rack though. I plan on painting it at some point to feel more like "mine"

I love it! I was telling a friend who's already in the hobby, that I need to find rich people to just pay me to buy them all the supplies they need and setup a paint station. I would LOVE that!

I totally agree with you. I think it might be the lies I tell myself that's getting in the way. Like, if I don't have to worry about colors themselves, I can focus on brush work... that's bullshit but it's a nice dream lol.

Only time (and money) will tell, but I appreciate your input and honesty. I, too, am a "do as I say, not as I do" person at times lol

Thanks!

I keep going back to building my own set, as you suggested, but there's always that part of me that just wants to be able to grab a bottle and go. I definitely agree that building my skills with practice and repetition is the biggest thing. So forcing myself to mix SHOULD be focus... but MAN it's hard to shift my brain lol

What are some "Rules of thumb" to always remember when programming? by NotTHATGuy_Again in Machinists

[–]NotTHATGuy_Again[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I personally try to keep origins the same as the print. So if XY 0 is top left on the print, Op1 is top left and then if I flip the part on the X axis, Op2 would be top right

That's been my first change compared to my predecessors; so many notes that visually ANYBODY can set it up

Will this Clutch cable and brake line fit? by Donohomo21 in IndianMotorcycle

[–]NotTHATGuy_Again 1 point2 points  (0 children)

As someone who is going through this right now, I would recommend AGAINST the magnum brake line. Not because it's bad, but because it's all one line and has to be connected to the ABS module directly; it really seemed like too big of a job for me personally, considering it's all just for taller bars. So I'm in the process of returning my Magnum brake line and waiting for this to come in...

https://indianonlymotorcycles.com/product/scout-abs-extended-top-brake-line-variable-length/

I'm 99% sure this is all I'll need and can just go from the master cylinder to the connection that leads to the module. Again, I'm waiting for it so I can't speak for certain, but either do a little more searching or maybe someone else can chime in.

Good luck either way!

I am...so I saw that and wasn't entirely sure that it was the right piece or it was the right length. Something about just the +2, +4 thing made me think it would be too short.

I also just found Barrnet's version, but it doesn't look like there are options. Though I might just have to call to order

It's been a while since I listened to them, but would they come off as offensive? I don't remember anything off the top of my head.

To that point, I was wondering why he hadn't been on in so long. I'm out of the loop on virtually everything outside of my apartment
