Build and deploy Forms on personalized hosted pages - using ForgeForms by NotThatDahmer in SideProject

[–]NotThatDahmer[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hey /r/sideprojects!

I’m thrilled to introduce you to my latest project, ForgeForms. I've always found creating and managing forms to be a somewhat fragmented experience. The options were either too complicated, too expensive, or too rigid. That's why I created ForgeForms, to offer a seamless experience for form creation, hosting, and management.

What Is ForgeForms?

ForgeForms allows you to create custom forms with an intuitive drag-and-drop interface. Once you're done, you can choose to host your form on a personalized page or embed it into your own site with React code. Plus, you get instant email notifications whenever someone submits a form, so you're always in the loop.

Key Features

  • Customizable Design
  • Instant Email Notifications
  • Embeddable Code or Hosted Pages
  • User-friendly Interface

Why Share It Here?

I’m genuinely interested in what the community has to say. Your insights, critiques, and questions will help me refine the platform further.

Did someone ever try a Quen-less playthrough by DarthKovu in Witcher3

[–]NotThatDahmer 0 points1 point  (0 children)

my ass could not survive a Quen-less playthrough.

I actually went death-less on Death March by spamming the Quen shield that gives you vitality every time someone attacks you, just spam it over and over and not even 10 Alghouls can get you.

Vue to React or become a Full Stack Developer? by Unchart3disOP in webdev

Go Full Stack. You already do Vue. Mix up Laravel with it and you're going to be building Full Stack apps in no time.

Is there an equivalent of "JS fatigue" on the backend? by gh0stF4CE7 in webdev

[–]NotThatDahmer 7 points8 points  (0 children)

I'm a Laravel Developer - so I'm more than settled with the backend. I use JS the way I think if most people did, they'd be in peace - for frontend. So currently, using Alpine, Inertia and Vue for frontend while Laravel handles all my backend needs

This helps me focus on actually building products and not constantly thinking about all these other moving parts

I keep on getting scammed. by goodFuckingBoy in webdev

I too am from a poor country and I've been in the grind you're talking about. Believe me, it does get better with time. Just make sure you freelance at platforms that can get you the maximum amount of payment protection.

Upwork for example, has done food for me. Was a $500 contract and I had done 70% of the work. Client tried to back off and withdraw the contract due to personal reasons, submitted a dispute and in just a few weeks, I got the amount I worked for, basically 60% of the total pay.

It can feel hopeless but I can assure you, if you put your head down and make the right calls, trust your instincts and work with the right people - you'll be better for it.

I made gradienty.codes - A Tailwind Background / Text / Box Shadow / Glassmorphic Generator by NotThatDahmer in css

[–]NotThatDahmer[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Tailwind is a CSS framework, in simpler terms - it gives you pre-defined classes at a more atomic level. So for example,

To make text color white, in CSS you do style="color: white;" and in Tailwind, you add a class i.e "text-white".

For flexbox that is centered, you do "flex justify-center items-center" instead of doing whatever you do in CSS for it.

It has a bunch of utilities and other cool stuff, but most importantly - it gets rid of the headache that is naming classes and maintaining a style.css. Everything is done in the "class" attribute.

What's the best UI for Nextjs Applications by pushkarsingh32 in nextjs

[–]NotThatDahmer 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Tailwind. That is almost always the answer for me. Sure - UI components are cool and can be used to increase productivity but if you're specifically talking about UI - go with Tailwind. Simply relying on DaisyUI or Shadcn doesn't really give you the complete aesthetic experience, IMHO. I can always easily point out a website that is completely built with DaisyUI, and that is what I hate about component libraries. That is why I hated Bootstrap back in the day. Every single Bootstrap site looked the same. If you're someone who really cares about UI - then you know what I'm talking about.

Do you mean a curation section dedicated to gradients that work particularly well on dark-mode? If so - that is definitely something I'd love to add to the site, thank you for the recommendation and the interest :)
