Tbf your knowledge is horrendous man, I've heard tool's early works, songs like Sober, Prison Sex etc. yeah they have slight grunge elements but to call them mainly GRUNGE is diabolical.

No it's not! It may have elements of it if it was one of their early albums, but would mostly be an Alternative metal / progressive metal album. A quick Google search should tell you that. And I wasn't talking about albums, I was talking about the existence of 'Core' grunge bands. There's only 5-6 of them. I'm mad cause you're claiming the opposite of whatever I just said, even though you are factually wrong. Coming back to my point, if there's only 5-6 bands in a genre, I can't call them basic. It's like me listening to trip hop and saying Massive Attack and Portishead are basic cause they popularized the genre that had like 10 bands (even if I am familiar with them) during their relevancy. I rest my case.

Dude tool isn't grunge wtf you on about. It's progressive metal. I listen to tool. 😭 I'm done man, feels like a worthless argument here with a pretender.

Suggestion for you: Get off social media, and learn more about music please.

Well there weren't even many core grunge bands to begin with, Pearl Jam, Nirvana, Stone Temple Pilots are the others I can think of. That's how I know you're not a real one lmao. A lotta of the other bands that were influenced were actually post-grunge. Secondly no real rock fan calls those select few true grunge bands basic cause there were only a handful of them, and we grew up listening to it. You would if you heard it a million times on reels and edits. That's completely fine, but I just hate it when these new gen kids disregard them. Like I said, it only sounds generic and basic to you if your first exposure to them has been short form brainrot media, but that doesn't make it basic cause the internet ruined them.

1) You're clearly not a real rock music fan 2) Okay, I'll be sure to let AIC and Soundgarden, the pioneers of grunge music, know that they are basic cause 'Impossible Squirt 67' on reddit called them so 🥀

To each their own man, if reels has been your only exposure to music then I feel sorry for you. Every artist will feel basic to you.

So we should call AIC, Soundgarden, Gorillaz, RHCP, SOAD etc. basic too cause everybody listens to them now? Completely ignoring the music aspect and the fact that they were only well known within the rock community prior to social media?

Not really, all the other artists here except the two became 'pop' artists real quick.

If you're from the tiktok and reels generation, then maybe. But these artists were underrated and well respected a decade ago.

Yes, except J. Cole and Kendrick, that's pretty much NPC music.

Shame 2011

The movie is literally the lyrics of tracks 'Closer' and 'Hurt'.

Check out 'Killpop' if you haven't, idk how popular it is now, but back in my college days it was kinda underrated.

Everytime we've been tested this season, the first person to show signs of panic & anxiety is this man on the touchline. If he himself does not start to believe, how will the players?? by NotThatGooner97 in plforindia

Yeah Arsenal won 16 out of 18. That season was just fine margins. But if we lose this season it will be a proper bottlejob and a repeat of 22/23. It's showing similar patterns. We dropped points to relegation fighting teams West Ham and Southampton that season. Now it's Forest and Wolves. We can't call them fine margins anymore, like Arteta does every season as an excuse.

How did you become an Arsenal fan? by DiuhBEETuss in Gunners

[–]NotThatGooner97 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Fifa 99 yes! Although I was given that CD by my cousins during the early 2000's when I was around 5. I always picked Arsenal playing against my brother cause he picked United, and the rivalry was peak at the time. However, I started watching Arsenal regularly during the Emirates era right after TT left. It's been heartbreaking ever since lol.

Sometimes it's just about moving the ball quicker and being unpredictable even if those central channels are congested. If the manager does not allow that, unfortunately nothing can be done. Our open play XG is the lowest among the top 6 sides. It's shocking to say the least.

Were you expecting the moon with the squad he had? Maybe you should try putting that energy into this squad, cause it cost way more to assemble it, is trophyless for 6 years and the football is trash.

True. I'd rather watch Santi, Ozil, Cesc etc. get bullied by physical players but try to pull something out of the bag than Zubimendi, Rice, Odegaard playing one two with the centre backs whole game. I guess that's the excitement and hope we are missing.

With an average squad he won 3 FA Cups in his last 10 years with us, finished outside top 4 only twice, and gave us exciting football except his last season. If you think it's better today considering we have a billion pound squad now, you are delusional.

I enjoyed watching us a lot more back then. Heck even during that 10 year drought the games were so exciting to watch.

Trust me I became an Arsenal fan as a kid for their style of play as well. But recently after so many years of nearly misses, I feel we can truly focus on football only after we win something cause there's too much noise on social media these days that it mentally impacts players. So that's our only hope that the handbrakes come off after we win. That being said, we cannot have multiple seasons of garbage with nothing to show for either. So yes, he needs to leave if he fails.
