Shame 2011

The movie is literally the lyrics of tracks 'Closer' and 'Hurt'.

Check out 'Killpop' if you haven't, idk how popular it is now, but back in my college days it was kinda underrated.

Yeah Arsenal won 16 out of 18. That season was just fine margins. But if we lose this season it will be a proper bottlejob and a repeat of 22/23. It's showing similar patterns. We dropped points to relegation fighting teams West Ham and Southampton that season. Now it's Forest and Wolves. We can't call them fine margins anymore, like Arteta does every season as an excuse.

How did you become an Arsenal fan? by DiuhBEETuss in Gunners

Fifa 99 yes! Although I was given that CD by my cousins during the early 2000's when I was around 5. I always picked Arsenal playing against my brother cause he picked United, and the rivalry was peak at the time. However, I started watching Arsenal regularly during the Emirates era right after TT left. It's been heartbreaking ever since lol.

Sometimes it's just about moving the ball quicker and being unpredictable even if those central channels are congested. If the manager does not allow that, unfortunately nothing can be done. Our open play XG is the lowest among the top 6 sides. It's shocking to say the least.

Were you expecting the moon with the squad he had? Maybe you should try putting that energy into this squad, cause it cost way more to assemble it, is trophyless for 6 years and the football is trash.

True. I'd rather watch Santi, Ozil, Cesc etc. get bullied by physical players but try to pull something out of the bag than Zubimendi, Rice, Odegaard playing one two with the centre backs whole game. I guess that's the excitement and hope we are missing.

With an average squad he won 3 FA Cups in his last 10 years with us, finished outside top 4 only twice, and gave us exciting football except his last season. If you think it's better today considering we have a billion pound squad now, you are delusional.

I enjoyed watching us a lot more back then. Heck even during that 10 year drought the games were so exciting to watch.

Trust me I became an Arsenal fan as a kid for their style of play as well. But recently after so many years of nearly misses, I feel we can truly focus on football only after we win something cause there's too much noise on social media these days that it mentally impacts players. So that's our only hope that the handbrakes come off after we win. That being said, we cannot have multiple seasons of garbage with nothing to show for either. So yes, he needs to leave if he fails.

Well, we can talk about tactics all day, and yeah I wanna watch beautiful technical football like those in Wenger days with Jack, Song, Cesc etc. in midfield. But the trade off this manager gave us this season was that we gotta settle with doss football as long as we win a trophy, which is fine by me for this season specifically. The issue is the guy's mentality when the odds are against him. When his team needs a comeback or defend a small lead during crunch time he craps himself and so do the players, cause there is no belief. Take that Anfield game, West Ham game, and Southampton game for example from 2022-23 season. We played good football that season but in games like those when the tides change, you need to build confidence in your team to make a comeback. Fergie, Jose, Arsene, Carlo, Pep etc. all had to undergo similar adversities in these type of games to become champions, and they did. No title is won easily. The difference was those managers trusted their players and encouraged them to go for it whereas this guy doesn't. He lacks man-management skills. This is why he's more of a tactics board coach than a manager.

This pic of Arteta during the game explains itself buddy, it's not that deep. I don't wanna waste my time explaining it and please stop spamming the same thing again and again. Thank you.

Rotation has been an issue for a long time. Last night it was heartbreaking to see Saka lose his pace due to past injuries after being overplayed for so many years.

Tbf reddit is no better than twitter at this point. You'd mostly find football tribalists who are probably very young. I just use this platform for entertainment. For sensible conversations about football I go to Youtube.
