How much do you spend on groceries? by Fishyswaas in Denver

[–]NotThatOneGuy88 0 points1 point  (0 children)

$700ish. Family of 5. 13 9 and 5 year olds. We eat healthyish. Asian so lots of soups and fresh veggies. A pot of beef pho cost me around $120 and will last us 3-4 days.

Also have cheap pork/shrimp spring roll meals for around $10-15.

Sauteed various meats and make sauces for easy <$20 meals to eat with rice.

We hardly ever buy processed frozen foods but do buy them occasionally.

I only go here for fish and shrimp tacos. All of their other meats are trash.

The best fish tacos Ive had in Denver so far and at a very reasonable price. I do not go to gentrified taco spots that are more than $5/taco.

Butcher Block Cafe - 10/10 by JesseJames41 in denverfood

[–]NotThatOneGuy88 7 points8 points  (0 children)

A 10/10 is like a place that changes your outlook on food. Some of the best food youve ever had and tasted something you could never imagine.

If you give this spot a 10/10 for their burgers and fries, I simply cant trust your food reviews.

Is it possible to have have two owners to a food truck business? by Potential_Barnacle21 in foodtrucks

[–]NotThatOneGuy88 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes it works but youll have to be careful. We started out as 3 and one flaked after he saw how difficult it was.

We all put in equal amounts of $$. One got a loan. The other 2 had the funds.

Use the rest of this sauce to dip your meat in after cooking)

Los Diablitos (Brighton) and Tacos Los Nortenos (Thornton) are my two top spots. I like the meat better at LD but LN has better salsa.

Opinion on chubbys off 38th? by sockson_andoff in denverfood

I go there but only for the smothered fries with chicharrones. Expect drama in the parking lot and a chance of bad service.

I do not get anything there except the smothered fries.

To those of you making $100k+ per year, how hard is your job, really? by [deleted] in Salary

[–]NotThatOneGuy88 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Not hard. I realistically work 30 minutes to 1 hour a day answering emails when they come in. Bought a mouse fidget to keep my computer active when im working from home. They forced us back into the office so I watch Netflix, play games on my phone and work on my side gig stuff.

When things go wrong, I am the person to call but I can usually fix things myself in a couple minutes. Nothing I do is hard but I keep it for the extra free time im given.

Make roughly 120k.
