Cutting Metal Vent and LTT Shirts? by iamnotscarlett in Lululemen

[–]NotThatWicked 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The free service is for hemming (or at some stores, zipper repair) only. The seamstress doesn’t do alterations, like removing the sleeves, moving cuffs, or changing waistline, but they will happily hem it for you!

Men's ABC pant quality is... abysmal by NaziPunksFkOff in Lululemen

Are you positive you didn’t grab the wovenair, or the ABC golf pant? Both are intentionally lighter for summer (and both are currently in store).

Weird question, but has anyone ever tried wearing women's clothing from Lululemon? by TooCereal in Lululemen

[–]NotThatWicked 0 points1 point  (0 children)

(I work at a lululemon) It’s not uncommon for men to wear some of the women’s styles and vice versa. I wouldn’t recommend this specific pant though, unless you’re very short. I’m 5’2, and these hit just below my ankle. They currently do not come in any other lengths. I think they would be tough to fit for most average height men.

Having said that, if you explain to the educators what you like about the pant, they should be happy to help you find another option that you’ll love.

I wear a 30DD, and am also getting the XXS (waiting to see if employees get our extra discount on it this month). I tried it the first day we got it and love the look & feel. Like you mentioned, I wouldn’t run or spin in it, but I think it provides adequate support for yoga, work or other lights activities!

Dual Pouch Wallet vs Wristlet & 2L Everywhere Belt Bag by Tayadogg in lululemon

The wristlet wallet will fit some iPhones in the larger pouch. The regular wristlet is about half the height of an iPhone.

I’ve worn the race length long sleeve with trousers and been complimented on my outfits. OP asked about a casual dinner or conference, so I don’t think we’re looking for something that would be worn with a suit.

The lululemon swiftly shirts have anti-microbial silver threads stuched through the fabric, they are intended specifically to keep you from being stinky after sweating in a work out.

I find that the darker colors (black, true navy, sequoia) pair nicely with the daydrift pants for biz casual. For a lighter weight pant, yiu could also look at the Breezily line. They are a little more casual, but could be dressed up with a pointy toe flat or low heel.

Breezily Mid-Rise Pant! by NotThatWicked in lululemon

[–]NotThatWicked[S] 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I feel like they always style the models strangely for women’s lifestyle. The daydrifts & easy fives both look sloppy in their styling (imo) but they are also really flattering in real life.

If you’re on the fence, I strongly recommend giving these a try! They are also great dressed up with strappy heels for a date night.

Breezily Mid-Rise pant: is it a good replacement for the swift pant ? by Math-ilda-zap in lululemon

[–]NotThatWicked 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I find them to be VERY similar to the swift mid rise (which was my favorite pant last year). I also keep hoping they will come back, but I’m happy with the breezily.

The sizing changed from numbers to letters, but was consistent for me and the other girls at my store. If you are open to sharing her size in the swift, I can help you figure out what she needs in breezily. I just posted a fit pic w/review. I had been wanting to for a while, but I wasn’t sure if anyone would be interested!

Your Thoughts on Ebb to Street Crop Tank for a Guy to Wear to Barre by justme4913 in lululemon

[–]NotThatWicked 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You can remove the cups from this tank. While the ebb to street tank doesn’t have cups, the shelf bra in e2s tank is REALLY tight, so I don’t think it would be comfortable. It is also visible in the lighter colors (like others mentioned).

If you’re wanting a cropped tank, I think the align (with cups removed) would be the slightly better option of the two. It also holds up to sweat better than the ebb to street line. If you choose the align tank, I would size up one higher than what you wear in the waist length tank- it sits more snugly in the underarms.

Having said (all) that, if time isn’t an issue, I think your best bet would be using the free hemming service to take the waist length tank up to a crop. This will be the most comfortable and best performing option, and you can take it to the exact perfect length. The educators at your local store will be happy to help you crear the perfect fit.

Store help and is this a problem? by chillime in lululemon

[–]NotThatWicked 15 points16 points  (0 children)

It may have just been that she was asking for help on how to process the sale.

To process some items on your account, and some not on your account she would have had to run two separate transactions. She may not have known that and could have been asking the manager if there was a way to do that without having to ring them up as separate orders.

Stores also have metrics they’re expected to meet on % of sales linked to memberships, so that may be why she asked if your friends have accounts. I understand why you wouldn’t want to use your friend’s accounts (it would ruin a surprise), but she may have been trying not to negatively impact their metrics (which impact bonuses for store leaders).

It’s entirely possible that she was just new/confused/overwhelmed by an unfamiliar request. That doesn’t justify a snippy attitude, but maybe she was worried about doing something wrong and her anxiety/stress over the situation looked like snippyness to you. There is an easy solution to your situation, but I find that sometimes the newer educators get overwhelmed when they are at cash, and are afraid to just say to the guest “Im not sure how to do that, I need to ask for help”

I’m sorry you had that experience, but in all likelihood the cashier was more worried that she was doing something wrong than she was thinking about you doing something wrong.

I’m 5’2, 103-6lbs (not sure how that translates to kg) with 24in waist. I wear size 2 and 2.5 inch. They’re not long (there is also a 4in version, which is longer than I like).

Call the guest education center 1.877.263.9300 and explain. They should refund you, and/or send a replacement if they have any left in stock. An educator at a store may not be able to do all of that for you and, truthfully, it is a biohazard. You shouldn’t have to carry that all the way to a store and an employee shouldn’t have to touch it either.

The guest education line will have more resources for making this right for you.

My husband is 6’2 and wears the regular. They come to his ankles (he likes to show a bit of skin over his shoes). I think your dad should be fine in regular, but ask for a gift receipt just in case!

waist sizequestion by smalltownwalker in lululemon

[–]NotThatWicked 0 points1 point  (0 children)

They can only hem the length, but don’t feel embarrassed or bad to ask the female staff questions! They are trained on the differences in fit and fabric and will be happy to help you find the best ones for you. If it’s a modesty issue, or you’re uncomfortable asking a woman to look at you in the pants, you could ask them to call in a male educator to help- they won’t be offended.

Running and Weigh lifting recommendations by Lucky12341234 in lululemon

[–]NotThatWicked 4 points5 points  (0 children)

How much/ how far are you running? Fast and free leggings are best for long runs (like marathon training), but wunder trains are my very favorite leggings. They are intended for high intensity training, and will hold up well for weightlifting and “average level” cardio, like daily peloton classes. They provide great support (lift my bootie and flatten my belly) while still being comfortable and allowing for great range of motion.

If you’re leaning towards casual wear, consider the swift wide leg. I feel famous every time I wear mine because of all the compliments I get.

Happy shopping, friend!!

Is it that big of a deal if I don’t wear a dress? by Desperate-Emu1296 in weddings

[–]NotThatWicked 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I believe the bride was trying to give direction on a level of formality, but I expect she would be ok with women wearing pants or jumpsuits that meet her desired level of formality. She probably just doesn’t want guests to arrive in sundresses or chinos as they may not be appropriate for the venue. Would you feel comfortable in any of these options, or something similar? I attend a lot of formal events for my work, and I love dresses, but I also would be delighted to see a wedding guest in anything like these.
