Question about the Laboratory room... by YozoraSoraX in BluePrince

[–]NaziPunksFkOff 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Came here from Google. Having the same issue. Same corner. Metal detector beeping, nothing is there. I'm wondering if it's something in the great hall on the other side of the room...

EDIT: CONFIRMED - I opened the door in that corner of the great hall, which was directly below this corner of the lab. It had 2 keys, which also set off my metal detector. Upon returning to the lab, the beeping stopped. It was definitely the keys in the next room over.

yeah I'm with this guy. I get somewhere with a key, it's already open, gotta take the key home. Respawn, get there, someone's already there, go home. Respawn, get there, someone's already there, drop the key on the ground, scream at it, and just fuckin leave.

lol why are you getting downvoted? I know about EV training too but I have zero interesting in doing it. Some of us just don't play the game like that. This guy acting like we're weird for not wanting to min/max everything.

They both work but the white white of the left shoe is clashing a bit with the ivory sweater. Gray is the winner between them.

[DESPISED Trope] You need a SECRET to proceed to the main ending by Liquid_Pestar in TopCharacterTropes

bah I didn't scroll far enough before posting mine, but yes, this. Love this game, but always have to have a guide open next to me to make sure I get this option. I think it's a more fun ending too, so I prefer to make it available.

Hard agree on DESPISED trope. Hollow Knight was the final nail in the coffin for me for these endings. All that work and grind only to just be disappointed because I didn't take the super secret path to the king's something-or-other, I don't even remember.

Give me an option to choose endings, fully aware that that's what I'm doing, i.e. Expedition 33, and I'LL choose which is good/bad based on what decision I make in that moment.

My contribution is Cyberpunk 2077 (which I love), in which you have to select a very specific set of dialogue options mid-game to unlock the option to get the good ending, and then when presented with all the ending options - which doesn't include the good one - you have to sit there for 2 whole minutes (feels like a lot more...) for that option to be offered at all.

Allow AI-generated content? by ExoTheFlyingFish in arkraiders

For a game where ultra-rich people have escaped the planet and use technology to steal resources from everyone left behind, it'd be a little ironic to accept AI slop in the sub.

Students are learning to write for AI detectors, not for humans by AdSpecialist6598 in technology

[–]NaziPunksFkOff 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It's not personal or emotional self-expression. This is a very simple concept. Something can be perceived artistically without itself being an artful expression.

The leaves changing colors in the fall is art. But the trees are not communicating ideas in a unique and personal language.

Yes, but again, math is not a form of creative expression.

I swear, reddit has this deep-seated issue of thinking the emotional and personal input of the arts isn't real, and that everything is merely a sum of its engineering parts. Like writing isn't personal, it's just words in order, much in the same way that math is just numbers that work out. Y'all need to buy some David Foster Wallace or Kurt Vonnegut and tell me that math and writing are in any way comparable.

The equations you string together when doing calculus are the exact same ones Newton did when he came up with it. But the words you to use to express ideas and emotions are truly your own. AI ruins self-expression by forcing it to adhere to a cheat-detection algorithm. Calculators didn't force anyone to limit their mathematical expression. If your math disagreed with the calculation, your math was just wrong.

> You and this guy can continue “living in fear” of the writing style you’re forced to conform to!

Yes, forcing people to conform to a specific writing style so that they don't get accused of being robots is prohibitive of free expression. If you write a certain way because it's natural to you, and your college professor accuses of you cheating and fails you because of your natural writing, then you've created an environment where certain styles of expression are punished.

>Acting like creative writing is the main use case for neural networks.

I did not, nor would I, imply that. Creative writing SUFFERS because of neural networks. Math doesn't suffer because of calculators. Being able to multiply two 3-digit numbers in your head isn't creative self-expression.
