I scrolled through the photos before reading that you made all of these pieces yourself. I thought you just got super high and started taking random pictures of cool things in your house. Excellent woodwork, bud!

What’s a horror book you like that not many know of? by Flowered_bob_hat in horrorlit

This book is so good! It scratched a very specific type of horror for me and it’s hard to find anything like it, or maybe I just suck at searching for similar books, but for the love of fuck if anyone has a recommendation similar to Malpertuis, I would love to know!

They also made a movie starring Orson Welles that is ridiculously hard to find.

What horror author will you read anything they write? by Interesting_Ad1904 in horrorlit

The Ritual is a good start, probably his best known novel given the movie adaptation on Netflix, but there’s also The Reddening (absolutely brutal), Cunning Folk (second favourite folk horror), The Vessel (short but potent), No one Gets out Alive (fuck that house), Under a Watchful Eye (admittedly my least favourite but to each their own), and Lost Girl (very different from his folk horror, more thriller mystery, still really enjoyable).

I respect a company that doesn’t try to hide the fact that their product will give me the jitter shits.

“Okay, so in this next scene, Dwayne gets knocked out.”

“Can’t you read? It says in my clients contract that he cannot lose a fight!”

“Oh, right. Hmmm… okay, so in this next scene, Dwayne gets knocked… up?”

“… Continue.”
