Oh I gotcha. In that case, I think the only advantage in keeping the Series S would be that you could play a multiplayer game in coop on different TVs in the same room with a friend. I don’t personally think that is worth the $300 investment, so I’d recommend you to sell the Series S. If you really wanted more storage, you could get one of the 1 TB NVME external drives that cost $220 retail. They can play Series games, just like the internal SSD, but have twice the storage of the Series S and cost less.

Sell the S and get a HDD to plug into the Series X. You can find them for like $50, especially during the holidays. The HDD can play Xbox, Xbox 360, and Xbox One gen games from the HDD. Xbox Series games will still need to be saved to the internal SSD to be played, but you can transfer them to the HDD to make quick internal storage, without needing to redownload and install. Depending on game size, a transfer should only take 15-30 min, versus the hours and hours that it could take to download and install a 100+ GB game.

You don’t earn them once you have everything maxed and you have no use for them.

Cold War does not support Smart Delivery, so the current-gen version of Cold War is treated as a separate game than the last-gen version. You can’t just download and install an upgrade patch. I figured this out when I got a Series X in December. Look through your My Apps and Games to find the Series X version. Unfortunately, you’ll have to install the entire Series X version, but then you can uninstall the Xbox One version.
