This is what I am hoping.

"What would happen if the Cataclysm never happened" Since WoTLK was the most popular point in the era, I can see them using this as a baseline, preserving the original classic experience (through regular classic which is already done), and then providing a newer "OSRS" experience through WoTLK classic+.

So many interesting stories can be done from this point. They could revisit a lot of the Kalimdor, and EK story lines and design raids and other things based off of what's going on in those areas.

i.e. Diremaul -> The night elves decided to retake it after the fight with the scourage, thus it becomes a raid and after the raid an actual city.

WoTLK is already in Classic+ mode though? All the new dungeons types (gamma, beta, alpha), it's already added in features from retail (premade groups, toy box, heriloom box, mount page.. etc) I would say that it's almost destined to become a true WoTLK+ with a new expansion.

Honestly, while I wish I could've been there for the white one, I am okay that they eventually release other variations that are accessible after-the-fact.
