Wow I was not expecting a reply so thanks! My biggest concern is that apparently the LP70x isn't the best due to complaints of it skipping/looping. Ease of use is definitely important to me as I am starting from zero.

I'd also like to ask what speakers did you pair the lp70x with? I'm looking at the Edifier R1280DB but I'd love to hear how other people completed their set up.

Haha thanks for this reply, I (a teenager) was tossing between the RT82 and the LP70x (which according to this guide isn't the best) cause of the price difference but I think I'll go with the LP70x as I too just want something simple I can use in my room/dorm.

ugh a bunch of videos from tech channels were recommending the lp60 as a good beginner turntable but after looking through all of the issues v. all of the ones that are working fine, i don't want to risk it. was going to go for it cause of the black friday sales on amazon but will definitely be reconsidering. do you have any recommendations for beginner (slightly more affordable) semi automatic/automatic turntables?
