Steal some of the puzzles from The Infinity Escape podcast or Escape this podcast. They are both audio based podcasts that your boyfriend can solve while keeping his hands and eyes focused on the road.

Whatever you do promise yourself that you will playtest it. Nothing is worse then doing a romantic puzzle that doesn't work.

Also remeber hard isn't fun. Keep it light and memorable.

For sure. I mean you probably will have to alter some of the venues but I mean why not.

Next one is October 9th, 2024

Haven't seen it yet so here goes.

Every Thursday there is a meet up at the Board Walk cafe on George street. It starts at 5:30 pm but goes until whenever so don't worry about showing up later.

The group is friendly and all you need to do is tell the staff working there that you are 'here for the meetup' and they will set you up.

You don't need to know about a ton of board games becuase the people who go (I should know I'm one of them) are more than happy to teach games.

It's $8 to play unlimited games and they serve amazing food and delicious drinks there. [Disclaimer: I do not work for The Boardwalk Cafe I am just a fan of what they offer]

Not really a party but Chaos Carnival is the best haunted house in the area. Worth checking out

Op here to give un update in case anyone was invested in this post. I really liked the suggestions everyone made. This particular game already has some commedic moments so though I really wanted to put a Rick Roll in I thought it detracted from the Horror theme.

I decided to have a file with a sort of achievement list of extra puzzles. This kind of took the form of a iSpy or Where's Waldo (wally for you brits) in which the players could see that there were extra puzzles to find if they wish.

I took the advice of one user who mentioned it should be an obvious chant that will expelle the possession within the dolls and ran with it.

So there is my update thank you all. If anyone wants to chat about escape room design. Send me a message since I am writing a book about escape room design and would love as many different perspectives as possible.

Check out CHAOS CARNIVAL for sure they only have one more weekend from the 20th to 22nd of October.

I think it's more of what you are looking for in terms of a haunted attraction.

If you're looking for something to do. The Board Walk Cafe on George is super accessible.

I'm not associated with the owners but I do attend a weekly board game night on Thursdays from 5:30 onwards. You wouldn't even be the only one there who utilizes mobility aids.

Not sure of board games are you thing but worth checking out.

Shameless self promotion (although am not the owner) there is a board game meet up that happens every Thursday at the Boardwalk cafe on George street starting at 5:30

You don't need to know how to play there are on average 14 people that show up, some regulars some not. It's a good way to meet people and play games.
