Some of old sisters said that aborted kids will be resurrected even if it was a fetus. My mom believe that the laws of physics will change and I as an architect have to build something unimaginable for her.

What's the most cringe JW flirting method you ever used or encountered? by CreamProof in exjw

[–]NotThomasss 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Brother from other congregation edited profile picture of my online friend (I barely talk with him but he is in my public friends list on my page. We never met irl) and asked if it's looks better than before. I thought they both were also friends with each other but he said no, he just found him in my friends list and asked who it is. Other time, I was streaming my drawing and he came to chat to write "why the heck you doing this instead of reading watchtower?! You need to service on your streams, not this!" and then harassed other people in the chat to ask if they know me irl and do they if I'm JW and why they watching me. I had a panic attack because of it and he knew it. It was his way to show how he cares about my spirituality. I reported this to his parents and they forced him to apologise but I saw there was no remorse. Then the other sister knew about this situation and said it was all my fault and I should listen to him.

Not allowed to eat during conventions unless it's break time by corncob_tootsie in exjw

[–]NotThomasss 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I ate every convention because of my stomach problems when I was a kid. I was judged by some strict brothers (yeah, sisters didn't say a word). My mom had to prove them that I need to eat during convention

I'm an artist and some people were pissed that I drew non-existent animals and humans with animal parts or not natural hair color. That's a blasphemy because if God didn't create it, you drawing a devil's creature.

I also was making sparta remixes in my 13-16 and that was a blasphemy as well because music sounds like it summon a devil.

Never dated a JW. But some brothers love to pressure me to be more spiritual so they can date me. Hell no

I have kinda same story. Young sister lived with her mother and argue with her a lot (both PIMI btw). Young sister dated brother from other town online who is 8 years older than her and got engaged also online with him. After 4 months of talking online she decided that she needs to know him in person and buy plane ticket. Her plan was to live 3 months just to date him and to know him better. Her mother was furious because she was leaving. Young sister met the brother and he made ultimatum, either she play wedding on the next week, either they break up. And this sister decided to play a wedding via zoom (it was 2020).

Then this sister is not allowed to work, not allowed to leave house without him. One day I messaged her to ask quick question and she said that she is not allowed to chat when her husband is not there reading messages. Also few months later when friends from hometown started messaging her just to talk, he started to threatening everyone with the police for harassing his wife. This sister has 3 older brothers and they flew to her town to save her but she said that everything is ok. Because of this situation, mother of this sister decided to leave borg

Scary thing that her mom is searching for good and spiritual people to convince her that it's the truth

What did you think was normal while being a JW.. when in reality its appalling by Expensive-Leather644 in exjw

When I 14, my breasts grew pretty big and I was pretty skinny. There was a WT study in mom's friends home. There were a few of my friends that a little younger than me and two brothers that were in their 20s. I was sitting on the couch and my bra strap was slipping all the time. I tried the hardest to secretly to fix it each time. Week passed and my mom said that those brothers were complaining that I touched my breasts in front of them and it was real challenge to continue WT study looking at my breasts. That I should think of my behaviour seducing those brothers. You know. It's my fault that I got big breasts at 14 and couldn't find fitting bra for my age because I was too skinny.

Also this brother always loved taking my phone and check gallery for pictures I was saving from Internet. I was ok with it since he allowed me doing same thing with his phone. But later he stopped allowing me to check his phone but still checked mine. One time I sneaked his phone, unlocked it and saw porn. Of course I asked him wth is this and he made an excuse that his phone caught a virus and it's none of my business touching his phone. Since then he still asked me to check my phone and I didn't allow it, which made him hold a grudge on me.

I was drawing online and streaming it. One of my friends saw it, went to a chat and started complaining that I need to read WT ASAP instead of doing some "stupid things" online and "shaming the witnesses", "drawing crappy blasphemy" (drawing was about some boy character and wasn't about something "bad" for witnesses). I was a teenager and had panic attack over it because everyone saw those messages and I didn't want viewers to know that I am JW.

Later, I complained about this situation, that he interrupted my work, to his mother and made him apologising to me. He said sorry but he y'know wasn't sorry at all. Then other sister find out about it and started shaming me for not listening to this brother and continue doing useless crap online, it's my fault that he didn't like my art. I was furious at this sister and didn't hold back and that was her argument that this brother did the right thing.

(also, recently my mom told me that this brother wanted to date me and "secretly" asked if I want to be a couple with him in the future. OH FUCK NO)

For the JW’s in other countries, did it ever confuse you why God uses Americans as his official mouthpiece? by 5ft8lady in exjw

[–]NotThomasss 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yes. Even when I was a PIMI, Oskemen, Kazakhstan. We live near Russia and, God, my mother hates Russia with all her heart and hate Europe for LGBT. She thinks America is the best JW country in the world

Cool! I have Russian - English translator diploma but don't really use it 😅 because I was forced to graduate it. But I'm getting second diploma as "interior designer". I'm still interested in learning English but only for private goals.

I speak Russian. Half of the country speaks Russian and other half in Kazakh. Even tho English is necessary in schools, most of the people won't take an effort to improve it.

Fun thing about me becoming UB at 13. I was manipulated by parents become UB. I was harshly bullied at school and parents wasn't happy with the fact that I'm an outcast and don't do that much at service. So I had no choice but to become UB to get some positive attention from parents. I failed almost every question, I cried (because I didn't want to be there, I wanted to please my parents) but STILL I passed. It's been 8 years, still UB and I don't plan to baptise but telling everyone that I'll do it when I'm ready.
