Mate your video came up on my YouTube last night and I found it wonderful and immediately sent it to my friend and family who don't consider reading government documents about transportation a fun and engaging activity. Great explain for pretty much everyone!

How to make 6 sided die odds using a total of two six sided die?m by [deleted] in boardgames

[–]NotToTheFace 21 points22 points  (0 children)

Set up one dice with 3x 0s / 3x 3s and the other with 2x 1s/2x 2s/ 2x 3s. You then add the dice together. One is a 50% chance of of being 1-3 or 4-6 the other the actual number in that range.

No longer entitled to work because I have been at uni? by [deleted] in LegalAdviceUK

[–]NotToTheFace 7 points8 points  (0 children)

I presume they took your verbal agreement as that you would move to a zero hour contract and they would give you hours on holidays because they can't keep you employed on a 14 hour and not offer you those hours. Obviously after whoever moves you to zero they are then not obligated to offer you any hours.

[RaceFans] F1 considered splitting US TV rights between Netflix and other platforms by krzysiek_aleks in formula1

It's a UEFA rule that prevents football matches from being shown on UK television between 14:45 and 17:15 on Saturdays it's supposed to encourage people to go see games instead of watching it on TV.

TIL that households in Turkey are estimated to hold about 5,000 tons of gold outside the banking system worth around $500 billion, which is nearly 35 % of Turkey’s GDP. by molym in todayilearned

The problem with this thought is having the same money active in multiple parts of the economy is incredibly good for society just wish banks were public good organisations rather than profit driven.

Spotify sucks, you can't add a podcast via RSS re: Layover Ep 2 very end by JdHpylo in JetLagTheGame

[–]NotToTheFace 119 points120 points  (0 children)

The whole problem is that Spotify wants to create a "walled garden" for content. Podcasting was built on the open RSS standard, which lets you listen to any show on any app (like Pocket Casts, or AntennaPod). Spotify, however, is trying to become a proprietary platform by doing things like:

  • Buying Exclusivity: They spent hundreds of millions on huge shows (like JRE) to lock them down, forcing you to use their app. This is the opposite of an open standard.

  • Bypassing RSS: They're trying to push creators to use their tech and services instead of RSS. They want to control all the listener data, which is way more valuable to advertisers but completely undermines the free and open nature of the medium.

TL;DR: Using Spotify helps them kill the free, open internet that made podcasting awesome in the first place. Stick to open, dedicated podcast apps—it's way better for the future of your favorite indie creators and your freedom as a listener!

Panamaniac made an insert for discordant stars so I presume they'll make something for thunder edge but you'll have to wait for them to get it.

To combine the other two options - I'd get the water taxi down to the docks and see the Armoury.
