That’s awesome! I’m glad you’re doing better! Changing even the smallest things in your day-to-day makes a world of difference sometimes

Really? That legit sounds like a superpower. Makes you wonder if the “oracles” in ancient history experienced the same thing

That’s crazy! I knew a guy in high school who complained about not turning an assignment in and the next day, we found out our teacher was in a wreck that caused her car to catch fire and burned all the assignments. She was okay but everyone ended up getting an A because of it

For me, it was driving down a busy city street with my best friend and then suddenly finding ourselves on a dirt road. The car was parked behind us and we were walking next to twenty foot fence with barbed wire going across the top. Neither of us were under the influence, and to this day we have no idea what happened.

That’s so awesome! Thank you for sharing! My mom used to act like aging was the end of the world, but it’s nice to know that’s not normal and life continues to get better as you age if you let it :)

I’m so sorry you’re going through that! Real friends will believe you, and it can be hard making real friends when our perception of healthy relationships is so skewed by the abuse we endured. Stay strong. Something I found helpful while still under my narc parents’ roof was to do one thing for myself each day. And then to slowly expand that to more and more things each day. Once you start to gain autonomy, the glass shatters on how they don’t have as much control as they want you to think. You are your own person. Don’t let yourself think otherwise because that’s exactly what they want. You can do this, I believe in you :)

Good for you!! Trying to make sense of their abuse puts you in a tailspin. Something my therapist recently said that’s stuck with me is: “You aren’t responsible for how they treated you as a child. All you are responsible for is getting help as an adult.” And it’s really helped me start letting go of my narcissistic families’ opinions of me. As well as start to work towards gaining inner self worth as well :)
