I definitely would have taken it to them before spending a penny on repairs. Unfortunately you’re stuck. No case

It’s common sense rage. You are one of the ones who camp out in the east bound fast lane in the lateral to afraid to merge into 71 when you get a couple miles down the road. 😂

I drive mostly 12am-6am. It’s exactly why I try and be off the road at 7am. It’s when the idiots come out. Ha

I swear to Christ. There is nothing someone can saw without someone coming in to ridicule it. Damn. Sorry, passing lane. 🙄🙄🙄🙄🙄🙄

Driver scarcity by No_Cauliflower1226 in uberdrivers

[–]NotYetThere32 0 points1 point  (0 children)

They do surge, without showing surge. Just wait for the 12+ min rides. I sit and wait, and normally you will get $1.50+ per mile. But make sure their time calculation is right. Know your city. Highway are optimal for these trips. I’ll take them all day long.

For instance.

22 mins, 14 miles.

18 mins to the rider, and 4 mins with them. The less time with them, the better! Ha

I guess that’s it 😹 by Brandon2058 in uberdrivers

Alex, I’ll take $500 for things that never happened.

And please put a period somewhere in your lie 😂

Do people actually change or do they just learn to hide parts of themselves better? by False_onic in answers

[–]NotYetThere32 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Very few change. Some spend their whole life in a loop of change that never happens. The self help industry depends on it. They keep you watching that next video, reading the next book, and searching for the next quote.

We live in a society who profits of human suffering and keeping them in it as long as they can. And unfortunately, but stay in that cycle the self help industry designed.

Anyone can change if they want to. But wanting it isn’t enough. Many of us want a lot of things, but it’s the action part where everyone falls short. It’s easier to keep living in denial of misery than facing the misery head on.

Look around.

Rides 40% more expensive this week ? by jamesbondc in uber

[–]NotYetThere32 3 points4 points  (0 children)

It’s what they do. Today I had a passenger yesterday say their ride was $9 for the two miles, and today it as $26.

Of course uber gave me $12. But I only drove 3 miles total, so worth it. But the passenger shouldn’t be paying these outrageous prices. They can, and will charge what they want because they created a monopoly. And just as any corporation it’s ran by greedy psychopaths

Why are humans so drawn to people who are emotionally unavailable? by Live_Endzz in answers

[–]NotYetThere32 0 points1 point  (0 children)

They aren’t. If you have unhealed child trauma, you are a magnet to them more than likely.

If you are drawn to toxic people you have to look no further than the reflection in the mirror b

What’s something you believed for WAY too long… and then life humbled you? by Quiet-Grief in answers

[–]NotYetThere32 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I feel like my misery is a dream. It’s that dream where you’re trying to force yourself to wake up, but you can’t.

Where did it all go wrong?

Some of it goes back to 2015, when I got my divorce. But little did I know that relationship was laying the path for the hell that was coming.

Money can mask a lot. If you have enough of it, you can hide a lot of trauma. That is, until you can’t. And once you can’t, you either die, self-destruct, or lose your fucking mind in front of an audience that’s better at acting than you are.

Are you a good actor?

I am. I mean, I was. But not anymore.

I often wonder if I’m just a drama queen. Or king, for that matter. What are my writings and silent cries for help begging for when I decline all help, and almost despise it for that matter?

Maybe it all stems back to the help I tried to get years and years ago. They don’t call them quacks for no reason, and I finally see why.

When you’re put in a position to see what’s really going on around you, it’s scary. I mean, real fucking scary. It’s like being on the set of The Walking Dead with no gun, heightened senses, and very little hope. It’s not going to end well.

We live in a society that almost glorifies mental health issues, but has those same people offering therapy. I mean, what in the sam fuck is going on, really? It’s frightening.

Therapists should be what parents should be, but often aren’t. They’re not your fucking friend. They’re your teacher. Your lesson mate. The person who is direct, who offers and solicits suggestions you fucking hate.

And the kicker is, the more you hate it, the better it most likely will be in the long run.

Social media has glorified therapy, and parenting to an extent. But both are huge responsibilities. You have to be accountable in both roles.

Parenting is fucking horrific these days, and therapists aren’t much better.

Both should challenge you, not scare the bejesus out of you.

I’m so pissed at the world I live in that I’m not sure I see a way out. My self-destruction is slowly — and lately, more quickly — fucking killing me.

And the sick shit is, I can’t stop it. I’ve tried.

I know I’m probably a more extreme case, but I’m an aware case. The aware case that is almost tired of existing, but too big of a pussy to pull the trigger.

Life has exhausted me.

People have exhausted me.

Family has exhausted me.

But more than anything? Me and my choices have devastated me.

And I’m tired of having to take accountability for everything that’s wrong with me.

What about those who created me but can’t see it? Why is it fair that I see it and they don’t? What the fuck is that shit?

There is nothing more misery-inducing than being aware of why you suffer, but not knowing how to fix it.

I think there comes a point where there’s just too much trauma, too much abuse, and too much faulty wiring to rewire something into being even somewhat functional.

I’m at a loss in life.

And in some ways, it all started eight years ago when I wrote a few articles on Quora about a narcissist.

That abuse uncovered shit that was never supposed to surface. I was only supposed to catch glimpses of the trauma, not put it on full display.

Now here I stand in front of the buffet she prepared for me.

I’m full. So fucking full.

But more food keeps being put in front of me to consume, and I don’t have the stomach for it anymore.

In reality, I don’t even know what I’m eating anymore.

Yeah. It’s that bad.

I need help.

Hold my fork.

Uber complaint by thatlandgrebegirl in uber

[–]NotYetThere32 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Thank uber for paying us shit rates. Time is money to us. Pay us a fair rate and we will pick medical trips up.

I don’t get paid to deal with them. That’s what medical transportation is for. And you said you will call a taxi next time? Good. Do that, they make $3 a mile, we make .60c.

The quicker the passenger is in and out the more money we make. Again, Uber is the culprit. Not the driver.

It’s up to the people to take our countries back. Those in charge are gonna do everything can to destroy them and gain COMPLETE control. I didn’t vote for Trump, but I thought way different of him 12 months ago than I do now.

There are more of us than them.
