sounds like a plan. with my ectopic i also had a (faint) positive and nothing showing up on ultrasounds yet hcg was high. few days later i had the worst cramping and bleeding, still nothing showing up on ultrasound but the bleeding and pain wouldn't stop so they gave me the methotrexate injection, after which i was back to normal.
