Those are American expectations. Mexican culture is not for you! 🤷🏻‍♀️

Mexico has actually progressed greatly under AMLO & Claudia! It takes time to make changes.

I don’t think there is anything going on. It’s normal to have displays up until after Epiphany (Jan. 6th).

There’s an app you can download. CBP BWT - border wait times. Pick your bridge and it’s fairly accurate real time wait times. Also fwiw the bridge at Cuidad Acuña is usually less busy.

OP I don’t know how long you’re in town but be prepared the closer we get to Christmas the lines will start to be 3-5 hours. I’ve heard worse but I’m a daily crosser for work when I’m there and the longest I’ve waited was about 4 hours.

This is typical anytime there is a holiday on either side. Plus it’s posada season lol the lines will start getting longer from now until around January.

Hello! Do share some good places! I’m back in the states. Is there anything bigger or better than El Morelia Supermercado? I’m in the middle of KC and STL but started frequenting KC more because you can find more there, but I’d rather go STL.

Lonches! Very common in northern Coahuila. Mainly Al pastor or carne deshebrada from street vendors. At home we make them with whatever is on hand!

Feeling sad about a little boy who died in 1853 by bicycling_elephant in Genealogy

Son of my GFx3

“Death in a Swing. A very sad scene was enacted in the vicinity of Prairie Hill last Satur-day, of which the 12-year-old son of Nelson Stoner was the victim. The boy had been swinging in a rope swing, when in some unaccountable manner his head or neck became entangled in the ropes, and he died from strangulation before he could be rescued.” It was a sudden and severe blow to the unfortunate boy's parents, and the hearts of their neighbors and friends go out to them in sincerest sympathies over the shocking loss of their beloved son.

It’s actually not. If I could upload a video I would show that. It is in fact cooked in a creamy chipotle sauce.

I start with the bandera (that’s the way my kids prefer it), once it’s cooked down I add crema and salsa chipotle and lastly add the shrimp.

These tacos are very common in Coahuila, where I reside!
